Role Overview: The Product Owner will oversee the Travel & Expense Application (including tools like Concur, Cognos Reporting, AmexGBT, SpotMe, and Cvent) and the Complementary Workforce (CW) application (Fieldglass). The focus is on product ownership, provide product expertise, ensuring readiness and integration with SAP ECC during the migration to S4Hana. Responsibilities include delivering business-initiated projects, managing technical operations, and ensuring service management and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel & Expenses:
- Product Ownership and Strategy:
- Manage the vision and strategy for T&E applications, focusing on Concur.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Project Management:
- Lead the Concur satellite project ensuring readiness during SAP ECC to S4Hana migration.
- Deliver projects initiated by the business for Concur and other Travel & Expense applications, ensuring they meet quality, scope, and timeline requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and procurement, to ensure successful project execution.
- Service Management:
- Manage technical operations for all Travel & Expense applications, including Concur, AmexGBT, SpotMe, and Cvent to meet the SLA agreed with business for tech products.
- Oversee tech audits, compliance activities, application onboarding activities and service stabilization efforts to ensure business continuity.
- Stabilize and monitor service management processes, including incident, problem, and change management ensuring outcome driven approach
- Technical Operations and Compliance:
- Ensure the technical health and performance of Travel & Expense applications through regular monitoring and maintenance.
- Support technical audits and compliance activities to meet regulatory and internal standards.
- Address and resolve technical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, providing regular updates on product and project status.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors and partners, ensuring effective collaboration and support.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Travel & Expense application-related queries and escalations.
- S4Hana Integration:
- Ensure Concur's readiness and integration with SAP ECC during the migration to S4Hana, focusing on seamless and efficient transition.
- Manage the end-to-end process of integrating Travel & Expense (T&E) applications with the new S4Hana environment, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate closely with SAP project teams to align T&E processes and configurations with the capabilities and requirements of S4Hana.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of T&E applications post-migration, implementing necessary adjustments and improvements to optimize functionality within the S4Hana framework.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements.
Fieldglass:
- Quality, Risk & Compliance: Accountable for ensuring all products supporting the business are compliant with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements e.g. GxP, SARBOX and that Tech continuity plans are in place for all business-critical products.
Experience of audit and documenting the privileged access control, adhering to internal and external risk compliance.
- Engage with key stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, providing regular updates on product and project status.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors and partners, ensuring effective collaboration and support.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Fieldglass technical queries and escalations.
- Technical Configuration/Customization: Work with third party solutions providers and GSK Staff, developers, and GSK Core Technology/Platforms to conduct technical configuration/customization of solutions that meet our customers needs and provides a great user experience. Ensures the SAP design is managed and controlled to maintain integrity of the ERP template. Drive synergies across the different modules (Fieldglass / Ariba) in the Procurement area.
- Data Protection: Develop a sound knowledge of GSK policies and processes regarding protection of sensitive data.
- Governance & Product Assessment: Participate in technical governance and support solution assessments.
- Product Domain: Understand the product domain and GA&D roadmap from a technology perspective but also understand how the technology adds value
- Quality, Risk & Compliance: Accountable for ensuring all products supporting the business are compliant with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements e.g. GxP, SARBOX and that Tech continuity plans are in place for all business-critical products
- Change & Release Management: Manage change activities efficiently.
- Integrations: Ensure data passing from upstream systems or providers (i.e. Workday) or to downstream systems (i.e. Global ERP) through integrations is efficient, accurate and secure. This also includes building reporting capabilities that support both operational reporting as well as analytic reporting.
- Process Improvement: Drive ongoing product and technical improvements adopting a mixture of delivery methodologies where appropriate – but focusing on Value to the customers.
- Technical Product Deliverables: Ensuring completion of technical deliverables as outlined by Product Owner/GRC and ensuring technical aspects of definition of done are achieved.
- Operational Support: Supervise consultants and resolve support issues.
- Supervise Consultants working on support activities, ensuring that they are able to fulfil their responsibilities to review progress, identify and resolve blockages, ensure SLAs are met and that the production systems are not put at risk resource.
- Work on support tickets and escalations providing resolution to break-fix issues, and deployment of operational changes. Demonstrate an ability to resolve complex issues, manage user relationships and delivery
- Proactively seek ways to reduce the volume of support work, by working with suppliers to improve service, identifying common/recurring issues, and proposing improvements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field.
- 16+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in a similar role.
- Proven experience with Concur and Fieldglass and their integration with ERP systems.
- Experience with Ariba, ECC/S4 is an advantage.
- Strong product, project management and technical operations skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) is a plus.
- Experience with Agile Software Development and SAP configuration.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is desirable.
- The role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects.
