Job Description


ROLE SUMMARY


Responsible for all marketing activities for the relevant products portfolio in India & SCEI; product management, development of product brochures and other promotional materials, participation in vets meet, veterinary congress etc, designing marketing plans and strategies, floating campaigns, pricing, market research, new product initiation, follow-up and launch, training of field force.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES 


Primary responsibilities critical to the performance of the role. 


  • Define the products strategy and road map, Strategic planning processes
  • Lead the budgeting forecasting, evaluate / monitor system on monthly basis.
  • Proactively evaluate /assess the relevant market landscape, monitor changes in market dynamics, competition (CESSA data analysis), customers, AH practices and needs, as well as other related market intelligence factors.
  • New product portfolio planning and drive product launch. Regular co-ordination with multidisciplinary product development and R&D teams for generating product development ideas and identifying opportunities to license-in products which would optimize the product portfolio.
  • Conceive and create thought leadership and educational content to broaden awareness and understanding of product platforms. Create Brand forums of KOLs for brand advocacy. Engaging key external stakeholders, key opinion leaders for identifying trends in the market and appropriate internal planning.
  • Work with external third parties to assess licensing and partnership opportunities
  • Be an expert with respect to competition
  • Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with production, sales, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals
  • Develop core positioning and messaging for the products by the HP Managers
  • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
  • Deliver a monthly revenue forecast
  • Develop marketing tools and collaterals
  • Brief and train the sales force
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan working with all departments to execute
  • Providing the sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product. This involves printed and electronic promotional material, product training and relevant clinical papers.
  • For reviewing product data to ensure that the field force is kept up to date on new developments regarding the companies or competitors’ products.
  • Act as a point of first reference for all product related enquires and work collaboratively with colleagues in Research and Regulatory to address any issues that may arise.
  • Close liaison with field force to assess the response and suitability of current promotional material and to ensure that the printed promotional material is being used optimally.
  • Design market search projects to assess customer attitudes to the current product range and new product introductions. Either conduct this research with in-house staff or manage an outside agency i.e. initial identification of suitable partner, definition of responsibilities, communication plan, divisions of responsibility, milestones, contract with company, review transcripts and reports and recommend action plans from the research.
  • Manage a team of product managers.
  • Close collaboration with international marketing
  • Closely work with technical services to balance company objectives and customer expectations
  • Budget forecasting and evaluation on monthly basis
  • Acting as a part of National PV team to work closely with PV DEPOC for reporting of PV issues as per our company PV related guidelines and assisting in closure of PV issues.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE


Qualifications that are job related, consistent with business necessity and necessary for the performance of the essential functions of this role; includes education/licenses/certifications, relevant experience, technical and/or other job-related skills.


Degree in Veterinary Science/ Science with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical marketing


Any formal learning course in Marketing management
