Associate Director, Global Oncology Commercial Pipeline Analytics, HHDDA


Our Human Health Digital Data and Analytics (HHDDA) organization is charged with innovating how we understand our patients and their needs. Working cross functionally, we are inventing new ways of engaging with our customers and patients by leveraging digital, data, and analytics to measure our organizational impact.


The Associate Director, Oncology Global Commercial Pipeline Analytics, HHDDA will be responsible for developing and delivering strategic data insights and analytics to address global brand team’s key business questions and inform launch related decisions and across the Oncology portfolio. The team member will partner closely with global marketing, US and international market teams, operations, finance & enterprise strategy to inform executive decision making and increase commercial rigor through all phases of alliance asset development.


The Associate Director, Oncology Global Commercial Pipeline Analytics will work alongside other HHDDA teams (including market research, forecasting, data science, data strategy and solutions, data visualization etc.) to proactively orchestrate the planning and delivery of complex insights and analytics assessments. The team member will also help establish a set of analytics capabilities anchored to our early commercial marketing framework to shape franchise strategy and proactively “connect the dots” across the HHDDA cross functional teams.


The team member will build strong relationships and collaborate with various cross functional teams across geographies.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


  • Pipeline analytics: Lead the development and synthesis of commercial data & insights solutions, portfolio analytics, business cases, performance measurements, market evaluations to support decision making for the global oncology team.
  • Analytics orchestrator: Establish a set of analytics capabilities anchored to our commercial marketing and launch frameworks to shape Global Oncology strategy and proactively “connect the dots” across HHDDA cross-functional teams.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Partner with global marketing teams, finance, market leaders, enterprise strategy and operations to inform strategic reviews and increase commercial rigor through all phases of pipeline asset development and Global Launch readiness.
  • Communication and Transparency: Communicate analytics and insights with cross-functional leaders in an effective manner and provide transparency to all relevant stakeholders, including global marketing, operations, clinical teams, and governance committees.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Develop and engage a high-performing team. Proactively manage team workload and ensure optimal resource utilization.

Required Experience and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a science, data analysis, or business-related field within the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry.
  • 12+ years of total experience, with relevant experience in insights & analytics, advanced analytics, market research, strategic planning, marketing, or related roles within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing dynamic and high performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of portfolio analytics, financial planning, and industry best practices in analytics with a focus on the Oncology therapeutic area
  • Deep understanding of Real-world data assets and commercial pharma data ecosystem
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with ability to connect the dots, consolidating and synthesizing across primary/secondary data insights
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, to find and execute solutions to complex or ambiguous business problems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a talent for effectively communicating complex concepts to a wide range of global stakeholders.
  • Relationship-building and influencing skills with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Experience in working in multi-national corporations with geographically distributed teams and matrix reporting lines

Preferred Experience and Skills:


  • Oncology therapeutic area experience.
  • Global experience, with understanding of US and exUS data ecosystems
  • Experience in Life Science or consulting industry.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PharmD, PhD) preferred
