Role Purpose:
Provide full-service management of key client accounts through marketing research information, analysis and reports and identify new opportunities for developing business in Customized Research.
Primary responsibility would include developing business, especially across key FMCG clients in West by reaching out to them, understanding their challenges, sharing NIQ solutions and evolving the brief along with the clients to win business.
Other responsibilities would include developing and delivering the proposals to win the business and work with the Customer Success Team to deliver the findings presentations to the clients.
Accountabilities:
Accountable for success of the team by ensuring revenue target as well as team development.
Client Management
· Provides advice and consultation to clients and staff
· Handles complicated client queries or complaints
· Develops strategic understanding of industry trends, competition and opportunities of Nielsen
· Demonstrated recognition by client as an “expert” related to research knowledge areas
· Presents results of study to the client’s top management
· Ensures the smooth collection of debt from clients
Project Management
· Designs and plans research projects following client briefing and needs
· Supervises all stages of project management and monitors performance by working with the Customer Success team which will ensure the day today work is done
· Provides advice on the execution of projects, informs clients on progress and gives specific instructions to other departments regarding the collection and electronic processing of information
Thought Leadership
· Introduce new solutions and thought leadership pieces to the team
· Strong understanding and appreciation of the various MR protocols such as concept testing, product testing, U&A, Segmentation, Profiling studies, BHT and so on.
Business Management
· Develops the business (profit and loss responsibilities)
· Strong Leadership Competencies (360-degree assessment), proven successful business record, and demonstrated ability to effectively work with diverse teams
· Provide top management with thorough review of internal and client financials including budget and forecast
Role Expectations
Scope
1. Would manage the end-to-end relationship with all clients with a focus on the FMCG clients
2. Would be responsible for revenue generation, client servicing and collections. Joint responsibility of the deliverables along with the customer success team
3. Would be supported by the customer success team – which will take on the responsibility of end to end completion & delivery of the project
Education and Experience
1. University degree in Marketing / Economics / Psychology / Sociology or related field a must. Preferred Postgraduate or MBA
2. 12+ years working experience in Market Research
3. Preferred : knowledge and exposure of the Mumbai + west India markets;
Knowledge and skills
4. Expertise in servicing customers and in-depth knowledge on CI methods, analysis and techniques
5. Strong analytical mind
6. Excellent Presentation skills
7. Very good knowledge on advanced analysis, methods, and tools
8. Good organisational skills, and strong abilities of working with different teams
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
10. Competent Negotiator with good influencing skills
