How will you make an impact in this role?
The Global Tax Strategic Enablement team is part of the Global Tax organization and interacts with a variety of tax functions within Global Tax to improve their processes through optimization and incorporating various forms of automation and next-generation tools.
We are looking for a motivated colleague who is collaborative and passionate about transforming processes using automation and technology tools to solve difficult business issues. The ideal candidate is expected to have combination of technical knowledge, product ownership, project management and a strong will to grow and learn. The individual will report to Global Tax Strategic Enablement Band 30/35 and will be based in India.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with business partners in Global Tax, to identify viable automation opportunities & assess feasibility and detailed analysis in consideration of various automation solutions (under the guidance of B30/35s).
- Evaluate in-depth manual processes, and work with the team to recommend process optimization & assess viability of automation tools (under the guidance of B30/35s).
- Ability to do process mapping and curate POD – POA for the process and recommend solution options (under the guidance of B30/35s).
- Facilitate automation by leveraging self-service tools, partnering with AET in capacity of associate product owner to use enterprise capabilities, or partner with development resources to deliver a solution working in ‘Agile’ environment. Design and build integration components and interfaces in collaboration with Architects and Infrastructure Engineers, as necessary (under the guidance of B30/35s).
- Create End to End development roadmaps working with the team/independently, monitor and ensure smooth roll-out. Resolve issues and remove roadblocks, coordinate with SMEs and development team to perform comprehensive and robust testing including parallel runs and facilitate deployment via standard AET processes. Prepare/hand-off process owner support documentation.
- Collaborate with business partners across Global Tax functions to enhance transparency, provide progress updates and proactive communication on various automation initiatives.
- Educating stakeholders across Global Tax on automation capabilities and future opportunities (under the guidance of B30/35s).
- Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies and collaborate with owners of existing Enterprise tools. Perform research on evolving technologies and identify use cases to implement (under the guidance of B30/35s).
- Participate tax system installation, maintenance, security, and software updates.
- Support the team with regular updates, cadences, follow-ups and ensure proper documentation is maintained for all the projects on Confluence and other sites (as necessary). Ensure timely updates of Bi – Weekly Summary, Scorecard Dashboard for the leadership; follow-up with leaders as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BTech degree required, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science. Other professional certifications/MS degree.
- Innovative mindset and experience in evaluating Finance and Tax processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation is required
- Demonstrated strategic thought leadership; superior problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to assess business objectives/strategies and define/implement appropriate strategies. Proactive, and collaborative work style is required.
- Demonstrated Fintech experience working with Technologies, SMEs, and Systems to understand requirements, assess functional and system flows & linkages, and partnering with development resources to recommend optimal POA design is required.
- Experience with thorough requirement gathering, documentation, POD – POA process mapping, recommend process rationalization, solution design, draw long-term and short-term product roadmap is required.
- Ability to learn new software and processes under tight deadlines. Exposure to Agile methodology, ability to document and coordinate with SMEs and development resources during delivery life cycle.
- Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to interact with and present to all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to build and leverage relationships and influence key partners to drive collaboration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience/knowledge and understanding of architecture, requirements analysis, applications systems design and integration, with a detailed understanding of applicable programming methodologies is desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platforms, and Microsoft SharePoint is desirable.
- Experience with process analytics, refinement, and reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau and other Data Visualization Tools
- 2+ years of Product Experience will be preferred.
- Experience to the automation tools and programing languages like SQL, open-source coding (like Python), ETL tools (like Data Watch, Alteryx), Power Platforms is desirable
