The Commercial Engineering, CIO team is responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions in support of Lead to Cash and Finance business needs. As an Associate Architect – SAP, at Thomson Reuters, you will be instrumental in designing best practice SAP architecture to align with sound business processes, giving a strong focus on automation, standardization, and efficiency. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology development/engineering teams, third-party vendors, and other architects to support mid and large-scale programs. This role requires a passion for learning and collaboration across the Thomson Reuters organization.


About the Role


In this opportunity as Associate Architect, SAP Architecture you will:


  • Be a Technical Leader: Research and recommend technical standards and best practices.
  • Work with technology, business, and external vendor teams to realize implementations
  • Work with the business owners to translate requirements into actionable architectures
  • Partner across technology teams to ensure efficient integrations across E2E landscape (incl. Digital, Customer Support, BW, etc.)
  • Be an efficient Stakeholder Manager: collaborate and engage with external and internal stakeholders in defining roadmap for products and processes.
  • Act as point of contact in resolving system related issues
  • Be a Decision Maker: make quick and effective data driven decisions, with good problem solving and analytical skills to infer qualitative and quantitative data, and a roll out strategy that aligns with company goals
  • Be a Team Player – ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment, share information, value diverse ideas, partner with cross functional and remote teams
  • Be Curious & Innovative – continuously update yourself with next generation technology, development tools, and contribute to process development practices
  • Be an Agile Person – deliver with strong sense of urgency and a desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment against timelines.
  • Be an Effective Communicator – ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues, and share ideas, participate/lead peer-reviews, and exhibit strong listening skills.
  • Be Responsible for:
    • Architecture Strategy & Roadmap - define and update solution roadmaps
    • Architecture design for future and existing Order to Cash and Digital Solutions, ensure that technology components used fit with the overall technology strategy.
    • Ensure also that the architecture is communicated, understood and adhered to
    • Architecture Governance – lead design forums, work with SAP Max Attention and participate in various reviews to ensure that solutions are governed appropriately.
       

About You


You’re a fit for the role of Associate Architect, SAP Architecture if you:


  • Have 11+ years’ experience - Are an experienced SAP techno-functional lead/architect
  • Have experience of SAP S/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA BRIM (incl. CC, CI, FICA), and implementation projects
  • Have experience in developing solution architectures (maps, documentation, etc.)
  • Have experience in working with diverse teams, including multi country and company
  • Have experience managing or directing work of others
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have an organized and methodical approach, a pro-active mindset, and are a self-starter
  • Preferred – certification in TOGAF or other architecture framework
  • Preferred – knowledge or experience in RISE with SAP, BTP, Signavio, etc.
  • Preferred – experience integrating with non-SAP systems, e.g. Salesforce, Apttus.
