To maintain the smooth and efficient operation of our trading desks, providing operational support and expertise to traders, sales professionals, and other key stakeholders, helping them maximize their productivity and minimize disruptions and handling administrative tasks, and providing market information and research.
Accountabilities
- Provision of immediate and efficient technical support to traders and sales professionals on the trading desks, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure uninterrupted trading activities.
- Coordination of trade execution by liaising with traders, clients, and other internal teams to ensure smooth transactions.
- Maintenance and updating of trade records, transaction logs, and client databases accurately.
- Reports, presentations, and documentation preparation to support sales and trading activities.
- Monitoring of market data and assist in the analysis of financial information for trading decisions.
- Operational tasks such as processing trades, confirming orders, and resolving trade discrepancies.

Join us as a “AVP FIF Trading" in the Fixed Income Financing team which works as an extension of the regional front office FIF trading desks and help these desks with daily reporting, analytics around P&L generation, book management by resolving loss making trades or any other P&L slippages with complete ownership. The role holder would also have to create tactical analytical tools to help the desk make informed decisions daily and support their daily/monthly processes.
To be successful as a “AVP FIF Trading”, FIF is part of the Liquid Financing globally business which offers various products across Equity and Fixed Income and derivative services asset classes, to Prime Brokerage clients. The products include Long / Short Financing via Cash PB, Synthetics PB and FIPB platforms across various global markets at competitive prices/rates. Liquid Financing Desk Support team in Mumbai is an extension of the global front office desks, responsible for generating trading ideas, book management, risk identification & mitigation, create analytics for EFG and FIF desks. The desk helps P&L generation activities and helps build tactical solutions which assists the Front Office traders in making informed business decisions.

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complicated issues to management and other impacted areas and ensure timely resolution of issues and breaches.
- Ability to train, upskill and empower the team to enhance team’s capability and engagement to be able to attract additional / more complex projects from the regional stakeholders.
- To be able to troubleshoot in the existing BAU reports, cater to trader’s requests around providing explains around any variance in existing reports & enhancements to the existing reports as well as build new reports/models for the trading desk
- The role requires sound understanding of trade life cycle of Securities Lending & Repo Financing, bond analysis, call and put options and bond pricing concepts along with good programming skills, understanding of the Financing business, eye for detail and an ability to liaise with the trading desks to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of tasks/projects performed.
Desirable skillsets/ good to have:
- Engineering Graduate in Computer Science /IT, MBA in Finance.
- Work experience of 4-6 years into financial Markets domain.
- Good knowledge on Fixed Income concepts and familiarity across Stock Loan, Securities Lending, Prime Brokerage and Triparty (Finance) in general.
- Hands on experience / knowledge on Database languages like Python,SQL with an expert understanding of databases, BI tools like Qlikview, Tableau, Spotfire or Power BI
