We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President, Compliance Markets, Regulatory Compliance


Principal responsibilities


  • To support and assist senior line management of Markets and Securities Services BANGALORE to comply with all relevant external regulations, internal codes/policies, and good market practice.
  • Provide Compliance support to the Markets and Securities Services business in implementing material regulatory change.
  • Manage regulatory, conduct and reputational risk by providing effective Regulatory   Compliance coverage and expertise.
  • Assisting/ acting as an extension of onshore risk stewards and help them with qualitative advisory compliance advice on shore risk stewardship.
  • Proactively assist management in identifying and containing compliance risk.
  • Provide periodic training to the business in procedures and practices necessary to achieve compliance.
  • Assist with Group/regulatory reporting and ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Ensure roll out of good market practice within the HSBC Markets and Securities Services businesses in GSC.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory trends, changes to Group standards and business developments.
  • To function as the GSC Markets Front Office Regulatory Change Officer, communicating with Group work streams and informing both the Business and RC locally as necessary.
  • Supporting Compliance documentation review for activities migrating to Bangalore.
  • Evidence of effective communication with relevant business areas
  • Preparation of internal and/or external reports in a timely manner
  • Providing themed and generic refresher training to the business
