Manages the day to day escalations relative to import and export activities of the company in the Asia pacific Japan region. Implement the trade compliance program in the various countries in the APJ region. Delivers training on various trade compliance topics such as HS Classification, Customs Valuation, Country of Origin, Export Controls, Other Government Regulatory requirements and other topics. Ensure recordkeeping standards for import and export are maintained by all countries in the region. Conduct compliance assessments/ audits of import/export operations in various countries including third party VMI's to determine compliance with in-country rules and regulations.. Provides technical and management support duringgovernment conducted audits. Provide advice to the business on import/export requirements of various countries in the region. Address escalations made by customs brokers relative to imports and exports of the company. Manage the daily activities of regulatory staff reporting directly to them.

Delivers training on various compliance topics to all relevant stakeholders. (10%)
Implement the import/export comp compliance program of the company in various countries in APJ. (20%)
Respond to government queries relative to imports or exports. (5%)
Manage staff and ensure they are properly trained to perform their responsibilities effectively. (15%)
Conduct self-assessments on import & export operations to determine risk areas and implement corrective actions. (20%)
Provide advice to the business on import/export requirements in various countries the company operates in APJ and conduct research on countries where the business would like to explore new markets. (10%)
5 to 8 Years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor's Degree with International Trade or Logistics field of study required.
Economics or Business Management Degree/ Customs Broker certification
Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.
Able to use a 10-key quickly and accurately.
