Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager of Procurement and Contracts to join our team for a mixed-use development construction project. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing procurement processes and contract administration to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies for the mixed-use development project
Prepare and review contract documents, including RFPs, RFQs, and tender packages
Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate terms and conditions
Manage the bidding process and coordinate with various stakeholders
Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with agreed terms
Maintain accurate records of all procurement and contract-related activities
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to address procurement and contract issues
Assist in resolving disputes and managing change orders
Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards
Prepare regular reports on procurement and contract status for senior management
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BE Civil)
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in procurement and contract management, preferably in construction or real estate development
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and relevant laws and regulations
Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and procurement management software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in mixed-use development projects
Professional certification in procurement or contract management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent)
Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes
Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
