About your team


The GPS Marketing Research team team provides a range of key research roles, such as managing and delivering customer research programmes to help us understand our customers (B2C (Business to customer) and B2B (Business to business), benchmarking against competitors and monitoring market trends.


This role requires an experienced market research assistant manager to help support our understanding of the market and competitor dynamics in the markets GPS operates in.


About your role


  • Managing secondary (desk) research and analysis to identify deeper client, market and competitor insights, helping to inform marketing activities and other business areas.
  • Translating and combining external research with internal client data to deliver impactful insights on our customers. 
  • Synthesising data/findings across various primary and secondary sources, turning them into digestible summaries outlining key findings and actionable insights for our key stakeholders.
  • Driving the development and adoption of ResearchHub, a SharePoint site dedicated to research.
  • Produce regular updates and newsletters for shareholders, building awareness and promoting of the latest research available.

About you


The right candidate will have a passion for customer research, data driven insight, strong attention to detail, good time management skills and an ability to look at problems and solve them using their data analysis skills.


  • Experience undertaking analytical desk research, especially focussed on customers and competitors. 
  • Self-motivated, a proactive approach with an analytical, enquiring mind and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work on own initiative to achieve objectives and goals, requesting support when and where required.
  • Ability to analyse a request and produce innovative solutions
  • Good networking and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Delivers high productivity while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent MS Excel, PowerPoint skills and SharePoint
