The Team:


S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join the , Distribution Solutions Tech Specialists team in Hyderabad. The team partners with Solutions Architects and Sales Teams to assist clients technically in deploying and troubleshooting the “Distribution Solutions” and assessing the environment dynamics within client sites that may impact product performance.


Work Shift: EMEA Hours (1 PM IST - 10 PM IST), Should be flexible to work in any 5 day shifts and longer night shifts.

Your position is pivotal, serving as the bridge between our clients and our own Distribution Solutions’ data delivery products and solutions. By leveraging your expertise in our product and content offerings, along with a comprehensive understanding of our customer profiles and target markets, you will function as a consultant. Your role will involve guiding our customers on the most effective ways to utilize our tools, ensuring they achieve high-quality results. This will involve integrating our data into their internal, mission-critical operational workflows and data environments. Your contributions will be meaningful and have a significant impact on our company’s success.

Responsibilities:


  • As an Assistant Manager of the Distribution Solutions Tech Specialists team, you will lead and motivate teams to meet the demands of the business.
  • Responsible for the smooth running of teams; you will be highly organized and able to prioritize your work schedule and manage the flow of information to and from all levels of the support function.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving the process KPIs.
  • Working with other managers to deliver reports, manage and find ways to improve the support processes
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of products from a content and delivery standpoint and assist with pre and post Sales opportunities.
  • Be a liaison officer for the team and do effective stakeholder management.
  • Take lead on business/product related projects improving internal/external processes.
  • Mentor and provide constructive feedback to team members regarding areas of improvement where applicable.
  • Bring new ideas for innovation and automation excellence into the support process and build projects that will help replicate and resolve client issues.
  • Work on creating complex SQL queries (MS SQL, ORACLE, PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.,) to use our data and assist client with query tuning and performance improvements.
  • Research and gain knowledge on the rapidly evolving product offerings.
  • Assess the technical environment dynamics within the client sites that may impact product performance.
  • Involved in product strategy, roadmaps, and user-acceptance testing.
  • Maintain the local infrastructure which comprises of Database Servers (Oracle. MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL) and Virtual Machines.
  • Be the voice of the customers for product enhancements.

What we’re looking for:


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field.
  • At least 3-6 years of technology, support or related experience.
  • The candidate should have strong basics in all aspects of Computer Science such as Database concepts, networking, Operating Systems, etc.
  • Solid communication skills (English verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Network & Security Protocols (Web Sockets, TCPIP, SSL, TLS, etc.)
  • Proxy Protocols (SOCKS4, SOCKS5, HTTP, Custom, etc.) &
  • Exposure to WINDOWS, UNIX or LINUX environments.
  • Hands-on experience on DBMS concepts.
  • Knowledge on cloud technologies like AWS, Snowflake, etc.,
  • Quick learner and ability to grasp new technologies.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting, follow-through and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to keep pace with rapid changes in products and new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Prior experience in managing client support teams
  • Hands on experience with feed, API and Webservice products would be preferred.
