What you’ll do
The IT Development Engineer contributes to the development of applications / products in line with the technology roadmap and standards.
The IT Development Engineer conveys a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in IT Development and delivers the development of programme logic for new applications/products or analysis and modification of logic in existing applications (activities may also include elements of technical testing). Typically reports to the IT Development Manager.
Job Description
- Hands on development of microservices as part of a development squad using Scrum/Kanban within a SAFe environment
- Driving the quality and performance of owned micro-services, through the use of standards and best practices
- Establishing a culture of continuous improvement through learning, training and coaching
- Ensuring quality is at the heart of everything you and your team does.
Skills Required
- Spring boot/Java Development experience of 3-5 years
- Experience of Agile delivery methodologies, understanding of SAFe would be an advantage
- Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence etc.
- Knowledge in microservice architecture and corresponding design principles.
