Assistant Engineering Manager


Work Dynamics


What this job involves:


(a)  Support the Engineer/ Mechanical Lead in managing the Mechanical installations.


(b) Responsible for preparation of critical spares list for all installations as per manufacturer’s recommendations and plan for the inventory where the maintenance is carried out with in-house teams and through NCAMC.


(c) Implement and oversee the pre-emptive maintenance program to reduce the risk of sudden failures of critical equipment.


(d) Assist the Engineer / Mechanical Lead to review the maintenance/service practices of M&E Contractors to deliver quality work practices in line with the manufacturer recommendations.


(e) Maintain the logbooks, checklists and PPM schedules for all M & E installations.


(f) Manage Downtime/ Breakdowns; Maintain Incident tracker in the share point regularly. Report breakdowns to client and raise WO as a RM ticket.


(g) Arrange for ad-hoc M&E set ups as per the client requirement from time to time.


(h) Ensure the contractors follow the house rules at all times and the projects are handled with minimum inconvenience to the Client by meticulous planning.


(i) Assume AFM responsibilities if need arises;


(j) Responsible to handle the shifts independently on all Engineering related matters;


Reporting:


Responsible for daily reporting on M & E to the Engineer;


Generate Service maintenance reports on equipment;


Generate Inventory and Purchasing of spares and consumables;


Generate Downtime and breakdown incident reports.


Anticipating the needs of our clients and guests


(a) To provide Engineering support to the Facilities Management team at assigned Facilities.


(b) To ensure timely and accurate completion FM reports pertaining to assigned Facilities.


(c) To adhere planned maintenance schedule of assigned equipment and achieve excellence with highest standards and ensure energy conservation practices;


(d) Assist the Engineer/ Mechanical Lead in managing M&E scope of the projects to ensure the quality and deliverables within the stipulated time;


(e) Assist in providing comprehensive facility, contract and procurement management for technical services to the client;


(f) Contribute to achieving financial and other targets established by the Account Lead.


(g) Achieve Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements targets.


(h) Train the team on good engineering practices and make them dependable.


(j) Follow client established procedures in tandem with JLL procedures to achieve excellence.

Skilled on the job


  • Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance of Utility equipment in a Plant like WTP, STP, MEE, ETP, Chiller, Cooling TowerPHE, Firefighting system Air compressor etc.


  • Proven ability to function effectively as part of a team.


  • Proven ability to initiate and follow through with improvement initiatives.
    Good conversational/ written English skills.


  • Overall client satisfaction by achieving SLA targets.


  • Effective team coordination of direct and vendor staff for efficient service delivery.
