Asst. Director – Integration Test
This role requires the candidate to MUST HAVE significant experience (10+ years) of integration-testing of enterprise platforms with multiple chained systems and a demonstrated ability to use tools for testing the integration between these systems. While it is not a MUST HAVE, any experience – either academic or professional – in the health/healthcare/insurance/health-insurance space would be a big plus. Holding any test related certification will also be a big plus.
As a Asst. Director – Integration Test, your typical week might include the following...
- Planning, executing, managing, tracking, reporting of Tech Integration testing for the integrated PHI platform system components.
- Reviewing e2e design and requirement to understand project’s functional and non-functional requirement.
- Identify integration points to determine where different components or systems need to be integrated and tested.
- Defining integration testing objectives clearly outlining outcomes to be achieved.
- Developing an integration testing strategy, deciding on approach, techniques and tools.
- Creating integration test plans, document the scope, approach and timelines.
- Identify, setup and configure test environments for integration testing.
- Determining test data – identification and availability.
- Estimating integration testing effort and resourcing.
- Developing integration test cases ensuring adequate coverage of all integration points.
- Reviewing and refining the plan with stakeholders.
- Execution of integration tests.
- Monitor integration test results and log defects.
- Analyse errors, and debug root cause using appropriate tools.
- Report defects and track to closure, including retesting of fixes.
- Collaboration with appropriate stakeholders.
- Test summary and status reporting.
- Signing off integrated tech deliveries into UAT. Note: UAT shall be conducted by business users.
- Supporting UAT and pre-post deployment testing.
IMP: This is primarily a hands-on role, and not just a supervisory role.
You could be the right candidate if you have
- MUST be a hands-on expert at Postman, Blaze Meter (or similar tools) for API-based testing.
- MUST be a hands-on expert on Dynatrace, or similar unified end-to-end observability tools.
- MUST be a hands-on expert on Data Bowl, or similar data collaboration/testing tools.
- MUST be proficient at reading, understanding & deciphering Open standards APIs - JSON, XML, RPC.
- MUST be able to practically derive - from component designs and/or solution designs - the sequence of API calls, and the APIs between system-components, for functional journeys to work E2E across the PHI tech platform.
- MUST be able to chain APIs, in the right order and with possible loopbacks, for journeys which involve multiple system-components AND multiple steps, so as to conduct API-based integration-testing.
- MUST have demonstrable experience debugging APIs between system-components - at individual attribute level.
- MUST have experience using Jira, Confluence, etc
- Thrive in environments that celebrate co-creation and collaboration.
- High resilience – can manage yourself, your teams and your peers when faced with ambiguity or failure.
- Have the ability and willingness to be hands-on with strong attention to detail.
- Can work independently and handle multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Have excellent organizational, vendor management, negotiation, and prioritization skills.
