We are looking for a Assistant/Deputy Logistics Manager ML (Maritime Logistics) to join our company.
In Wilhelmsen Port Services (WPS), we provide our customers with piece of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. Who you
are:- Good experience in Maritime Logistics Stream in NVOCC/Dry freight forwarding business –
minimum 4 years.
- Sailing experience will be an added advantage.
- Entrepreneurial and commercial mind-set.
- High ethical standards. Adherence to company code of conduct, local rules and regulations.
- Able to work in a cross cultural, high paced environment.
- Excellent communications skills and good command in English Language.

What you will be
doing:- Strategize, Manage and develop the Dry freight forwarding/NVOCC Team.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and establish tactical or strategic measures for the offer to protect and build our market share.
- Introduce innovative concepts; work on potential new offers, expand the client base; develop existing offers as agreed and in accordance with KPIs
- Manage the team to monitor changes in Rules & Regulations affecting the offer and take proper action.
- Decide on Credit approvals and manage the credit control, in line with the agreed terms as decided by the Country Logistics Manager and Country Business Management.
- Be the maritime logistics expert towards our market.
- Responsible to follow Port Services Operations and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security
and Environment) policies, guidelines, procedures and legal and other requirements established by the company.
- Generate business and achieve targets in line with sales plan, ensuring timely and accurate sales forecast and using the above market information for planning all the regional sales strategies.
- Coordinating with pricing to offer best economical prices to convert maximum possible leads from the region and coordinate with customer service ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain contact with key markets by visiting and investigating the operations and local conditions to finalize the sales deals with speed and effectiveness.
- Monthly lead generation and booking from region.
- Report booking projections and required Inventory projections.
- Carry out Sales visit updates/customer feedback.
- Prepare Market intelligence/competition analysis reports.
- Continuously plan and achieve business revenue targets, budgeted volumes, in accordance with the Yearly Objectives and as per agreed KPIs;
You will be accountable for:
- Revenue Target vs. Achievement, as per the agreed KPI.
- Introduction of Innovative new concepts, expansion of client base and effective offer development as per Annual Action Plan (AAP), Planning, Co-ordination and Launch in a timely manner.
- Customer Credit Time vs. Outstanding dues.
