ASN Clerk - 1st Shift

ASN CLERK
PLYMOUTH, INDIANA – INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION WAREHOUSE

Review shipment documents, accurately complete and verify ASN submissions, and communicate daily with Customer Service personnel, Warehouse Staff, Truck Drivers, and Carrier Representatives in person, via phone, and/or email. Maintain Shipping Department documentation and administer filing. Support Finished Goods Supervisors, scan product, and help maintain warehouse inventory accuracy and reporting as needed.

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

• Review picks once received from Customer Service Coordinator, ensuring accuracy and completion.
• Send ASN as required by customer and filing.
• Ensure all ASN submissions are verified and immediately notify customer service personnel if a problem occurs.
• Assist as backup in scanning of product in preparation for shipping when time allows.
• Build and maintain a reference manual for customer EDI requirements.
• Support EHS and IATF policies, procedures, and rules, including assistance in meeting the EHS goals and objectives.
• Support and participate in the 5S Program daily.
• Ability to work flexible shift hours based on operational need.
• Immediately notify customer service personnel in the event of EDI, carrier, and/or shipper Issues.
• Periodic warehouse assignments when ASN tasks are complete.
• Backup forklift operator (only if ASN processing is complete with no errors).

Your Qualifications:

• High school diploma required
• Extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, and proactive
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work alone and in a team environment
• Computer skills required (Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to understand specific customer requirements
• Must have the skillset to learn and use the current EDI System
• Must have the skillset to learn and use the current QAD System
• Basic Excel experience required
• Must be willing to work flexible hours based on operational need

Bonus If You Have:

• At least one year in manufacturing/warehouse and office environement 
• Shipping & receiving process and documentation experience
• Experience with truck drivers and transportation industry
• Understanding impacts of customer ratings on suppliers
• Supply chain experience
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
