About the role

Responsible for sales distribution of product portfolio of Food Ingredients & flavour for upper north region
(Himachal, Jammu & Punjab)




Key responsibilities
  • Responsible for Sales of product portfolio of Food Ingredients and Flavours
  • Locate and propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners as well as discovering and exploring opportunities
  • Maintain responsibility for full sales cycle, from opportunity identification through to negotiation and close of sale, with a heavy focus on prospecting
  • Ensure that sales and revenue objectives are met and/or exceeded
  • Drive the attainment of company sales goals and profitability with distributor sales partners
  • Implement programs with distributors to maximize effectiveness of the allocation of resources
  • Negotiate and execute contracts to establish new partners
  • Identify Secondary Sale Opportunities and link them to distributors
  • Assess value and contribution of existing partnerships and make changes when necessary
  • Partner with R&D to identify, establish and roll out revenue generating marketing campaigns to distributors
  • Share market feedback to product marketing management and sales leadership
  • Respond and resolve distributor questions and concerns in a timely manner
  • Manage revenue results and progress to forecast 


Qualifications and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business, sciences or equivalent.
  • 10-12 years of inside sales, marketing or business management experience in the food industry.
  • Preferred from flavour selling background
  • Experience with sales distributor management- handling distribution accounts and distributors
  • Strong sales skills including: closing skills, motivation for sales, prospecting, planning, selling to
  • customer needs, territory management, market knowledge, presentation skills, energy levels, and meeting sales goals
  • Relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving and change management skills.
  • Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, dynamic, creative with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Business related computer skills
