Job DescriptionThe Java Developer is an intermediate-level position responsible for developing technical components and following SDLC lifecycle for delivering user requirements. Also work with business analyst and users for requirement gathering to delivery. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to technical components development activities and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.Responsibilities:Java Development and Interact with BA and user community for project deliveryFormulate and define systems scope and project objectives through research activities and provide guidance to new or lower level analystsAnalyze business client needs, document requirements and new technology such as MSA Architectures, and derive test cases using best suitable frameworksDefine and analyze enhancements and assist in redesigning business processes and process automationIdentify risk and consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environmentTest systems to ensure projects meet requirements and identify system problems to develop solutions based on analysesResolve problems by translating business requirements into technical solutions and identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and precedentAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:5-8 years of relevant experienceExperience in Java - All, Spring Boot, Spring Batch and Scheduling FrameworksRESTful services, Microservices development experiencesRDBMS Knowledge, Oracle, Sybase and No-SQL Database experiencesKnowledge of applicable business systems and industry standardsProven analytical, data analysis, organization and presentation skillsBasic knowledge on distributed messaging systems Kafka, ActiveMQ and RabitMQConsistently passionate for research, ideation and exploration with understanding of business analysis procedures and conceptsConsistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communicationProven ability to work independently and in a team with understanding of how collaboration accomplishes objectivesAbility to guide team members for development activities and bug fixesEducation:Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
