Applications Technical Specialist II

Position: Application Technical Specialist II- EBS Technical Specialist.

Work within the Information Technology governance framework taking guidance from the Global Application Services Manager. Work closely with global finance leadership teams as well as outsourced support teams (functional and technical)to deliver efficient applications and ensure systems availability during key reporting periods (month end, forecast, budget etc)

Job Specific Knowledge required

• Strong understanding of Oracle technology and data warehousing
• Good experience with setup, config and management of the scheduling tool like Tidal
• Strong understanding of EBS and SaaS products like HCM and iExpenses
• Knowledge of Informatica and informatica cloud is a plus
• 7+ years Information Technology experience
• 7+ years of overall Technical experience with EBS
• Understanding of OCI technology
• Strong leadership, operational and change/project management skills
• Experience working in hosted services environments.
• Experience working with external vendor for service management

IT Skills:

• Experience with relational (Oracle and SQL) database as well as infrastructure management and system monitoring
• Linux/Unix skills
• Experience with data warehousing and data modelling
• Experience with internet/intranet networking technologies
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• MS Office suite of applications, MSAD and Citrix.
• Stay up-to-date with current and emerging technology and computing trends

• High impact of decisions on application solutions and ongoing application operations
• Effective decisions leading to stable environments

Position Significance Relative to Total Organisation:

• Responsible for applications availability and stability across the organization
• Act as the liaison between finance teams andIT groups
• Handle escalations raised by finance/IT communities

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

• Post-secondary qualification in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other related fields.
• Oracle Certification is preferred.
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or Microsoft Operating Framework (MOF) qualifications and experience highly regarded
