Role Summary:
Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced salesperson in the office (Applications Engineer). In this function you will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and special applications.
You will act as a product specialist in a team and work closely with the sales, development, and other specialist departments at the site.
Responsibilities
• Application Engineering, sales coordination and project management.
• Proficiency in project specifications review including Instrumentation and reading P&ID.
• Selection of field instruments like pressure, level, flow and temperature for various applications.
• Participate in technical/commercial clarification meeting with customer; providing response to customer technical queries (TQs)
• Collaborate with internal departments to obtain technical and commercial information needed for the proposal.
• Selection of mechanical components like valves, flanges, fittings and tubing. • Review the order documents to ensure compliance with Flowserve’s original proposal and all agreed upon changes and make the clean & accurate order transfer files to Operations.
• Proficiency in Hazardous area classification.
• Understand and able to work with engineering tools and administrative tools. • Maintain good rapport within internal and external customers.
• Lead major global projects and involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Actively participate and complete company sponsored trainings as scheduled.
• Carry out any other duties as directed by the Reporting manager.
• Knowledge on API 682, API 610 are added advantage and additional knowledge on international standards like ASME, IEC, NEC, CSA, ATEX, etc.
• Knowledge on Mechanical seal, Pumps, Turbines, Compressors, Gearboxes, Engines and Valves preferred.
• Knowledge on API 682 & API 610 standards are added advantage
Requirement:
B. E / B. Tech (Mechanical/Chemical/Instrumentation) or equivalent degree.
Good communication skills
Strong technician acumen and analytical thinking.
SAP knowledge Experience in dealing with common MS Office applications.
