Role – Lead Application Management Specialist

We are already providing IT services and support to Alfa Laval companies around the world, and we are now expanding our operations to meet future demands.


Alfa Laval has invested in a ‘Global IT Delivery Centre’ in Pune with the vision to expand and deliver IT services as an extension to our global teams located in Sweden, Denmark and the USA. We focus on cost-effective solutions and improved performance to create a unique Alfa Laval experience! Power BI, basic IT understanding for troubleshooting, is it app, infra, or user behaviour, ask the right question, service mind also, good work ethic,


Who are we looking for



We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Application Management Specialist to join our Global IT Delivery Centre. As we continue expanding our operations to meet future demands, this role will be crucial in leading the application support function and ensuring smooth service delivery. If you are passionate about IT, application management, and possess strong leadership and troubleshooting skills, we would love to have you on our team.


You will be working with applications critical to our global operations, collaborating closely with teams in Sweden and Poland. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a service mindset, eager to contribute to the success of Alfa Laval.


Who are You


You are a person with a strong sense of ownership, leadership capabilities, and a deep technical understanding of application management. You’re able to guide a team, resolve complex technical issues, and provide seamless support across different platforms and environments.


You enjoy collaborating with global teams, have a knack for troubleshooting, and are comfortable leading efforts that span multiple time zones. Your approach is customer-oriented, and you thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments where problem-solving and service excellence are key to success.


Requirements and Responsibilities


What we need
 


  • Specialist in Application Management: You must have strong expertise in supporting and managing enterprise-level applications (preferably in the finance area).
  • Power BI Proficiency: Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting to support business intelligence efforts.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Strong technical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify issues across infrastructure, applications, or user behavior.
  • IT Domain Knowledge: A broad understanding of IT systems to correctly identify and escalate issues to the appropriate teams.
  • Team Leadership: Proven experience in leading and guiding an application management team, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance.
  • 2nd Line Support: Ability to handle escalated tickets related to applications.
  • ITIL and Agile Methodologies: Solid understanding of ITIL best practices for incident management and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Comfortable working in a global setup, coordinating across different time zones and departments.

Good to have:


  • ITSM Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow for managing workflows and service operations.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification: Certified in ITIL practices, which will give you an edge in managing and improving IT service management processes.

Work Location; Pune


Working time: CET Shift – 11:30 AM to 08:30 PM


Working Days: 5 days a week (3days WFO, 2 days WFH)
