The Olympus GRU Infrastructure team is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure estate from procurement to maintenance to Decommission. The role would be to procure hardware , update and refresh eovs and vulnerable components, work with CTI team on issues, and decommission obsolete hardware. Ability to think across hardware and software is very critical.
This role as Infrastructure lead will be responsible to handle the infrastructure, ensuring availability and uptime across applications. The lead would also be responsible to interact with the Vendors to manage the resources.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the infrastructure across datacenters in NAM, EMEA and APAC
- Work with the stakeholder teams on production issues across software platforms
- Work with teams on the execution of Contingency failover
- Align, Plan, Execute and Close Technical and Audit Corrective Action Plans (CAP) where infrastructure needs to be updated or added
- Provide oversight for the Application releases
- Provide oversight for day-to-day BAU issues across Production , UAT and Dev Environments
- Plan and upgrade software and hardware platforms working with internal and external stakeholders based on growth and application asks
- Procurement and build of hardware as required by the Application team
- Create and Maintain the Infrastructure Project planning process (PTS)
- Work with the vendors on improving the team and efficiency while reducing the risk
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in large Financial Services/ banking
- Exposure to development processes with coding languages and deployment process
- Understand the Administration of Servers for Linux, Application Server like IBM Liberty and Oracle database
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux and Oracle
- Ability to manage teams and stakeholders across geographies.
- Ability to articulate intricacies of Technology Architecture
- Enthusiastic about innovations in the infrastructure space
Skills Required
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Hands-on knowledge of Devops, Linux , Oracle database queries and application server administration
- Experience with release process and ci/cd implementation
- Experience with Bigdata would be preffered
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
- A drive to learn and master innovative technologies and techniques.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Certifications from Oracle and IBM for Linux, Oracle and Liberty preferred
