Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of digital solutions, in close collaboration with product manager and platform architect, ensuring efficient use of the resources, meeting timelines, project goals and strategic objectives.
- Evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies for automation of common tasks; build of utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways
- Lead efforts to break down monolithic manufacturing systems be re-architected as microservices, and which can be refactored or replaced.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing by engaging cross-functional teams and leaders across the organization. Building strong communities of practice to break down silos, align on shared goals, and drive cohesion in designing and implementing larger software systems.
- Being able to articulate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across multiple teams.
- Guide a team of Software engineers, oversee the requirement gathering, technical design and implementation of systems including infrastructure, testing, verification, documentation. Guide teams and individuals through the transition, helping them upskill as they adopt microservices best practices.
- Drive the adoption of Automation and DevOps practices, to optimize scalability, performance, and delivery efficiency.

- Leverage cloud, and tools like Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines to automated infrastructure provisioning deployment, testing, monitoring, assuring seamless integration and continuous delivery across environments.
Technical Skill Set Experience
- 15+ years of experience in leading full stack or backend engineering, platforms, systems integration, programming/software development, IT infrastructure.
- Proven hands-on experience in software engineering, inclusive of coding, designing, and delivering high-quality and highly reliable solutions, with at lead least 6+ years of relevant experience in technical program management with expertise in Agile Methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Proficient in project management tools – Jira, Service Now.
- Proven experience in transforming monolithic applications into microservices with strong understanding of microservices design patterns and best practices. (eg., decentralized data management, bounded contexts, etc.).
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in API-first architecture and other Integration concepts. Familiarity with API design and management, including REST and GraphQL.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell and Terraform. Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Java, or JavaScript, with exposure to React and Node JS. Candidates should have professional coding experience in at least one of the modern programming languages
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their microservices offerings.
- Understanding of cloud-native application patterns and tools (serverless, managed databases, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for microservices and deployment automation (Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, etc.).
- Knowledge of automation tools and monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Experience with event-driven architecture and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, etc.).
- Understanding of Microservices and Distributed Systems, Database Management and Data Modeling of handling data consistency in distributed systems, including eventual consistency and CAP theorem.
- Knowledge of Quality principles, computer system validation principles and QA methodologies is desirable.
Experience
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, team building, and communication skills to ensure effective collaborations within matrix teams.
- Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban) and knowledge of software engineering best practices (design patterns, testing, code reviews)
- Strong change management skills to handle the complexities of moving from a monolithic system to a distributed architecture.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to quickly gain and apply functional area specific knowledge.
- Ability to learn new tools and skills quickly.
- Proven ability to lead small teams/groups and manage a heavy workload.
- Experience interacting with business stakeholders: understanding, anticipating, and fulfilling their requirements.
- Ability to work with diverse teams across organizational lines and structures.
