Job Overview:
Finance, Markets and Credit Risk Technology, enables Citi to achieve its day-to-day and long-term growth goals, enabling execution of Citi’s Strategy by providing services, technical solutions, and infrastructure across the bank. These solutions enable Citi to comply with regulatory mandates and empower our businesses to achieve their goals, both current and long-term.
In Finance, Market and Credit Risk Technology (FMCRT) we’re pushing the limits of technology. Our products and initiatives adhere to Citi’s strategic architecture principles and support the end-to-end integration of multiple global functions within the bank including Finance, Risk, and Controllers.
About the Role:
We’re currently seeking an experienced senior Java Fullstack Developer to lead the development of scalable web applications and complex backend systems. In this role, you’re expected to:
Design, develop and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Java Backend and modern front end technologies like Angular, React etc
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and applications using Java and Spring framework.
Implement responsive and interactive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks(React.js, Angular etc)
Reviewing code work for accuracy and functionality. Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
Use Docker, Kubernetes and other containerized tools to manage and deploy microservices.
Monitor microservices performance and security, and proactively fix issues or optimize services.
Work closely with Program Management and Quality Control teams to deliver quality software to agreed project schedules.
Work closely with the devops team to build, deploy and manage applications in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git or equivalent.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
7+ years of relevant experience in the full-stack development with Financial Service industry preferred
Strong in Java 8 + Concepts & Hands-on coding skills in Java 8 and higher version
Working knowledge of Spring boot, Microservices architecture, REST API, Hibernate
Understanding of test-driven development using Junit, Mockito.
Hands on understanding on Relational database like Oracle, PL/SQL and No-SQL databases like MongoDB.
Having experience developing in the following technologies HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, JQuery, NodeJS, Git
Experience with performance optimizations tools and techniques.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
Leetcode/Hackerank/Github Online coding repositories.
Knowledge of cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (Agile or Scrum).
Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, and Docker).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with good teamwork capabilities.
