About the role:
We are looking for an experienced API Developer to work with Magnolia CMS in building and integrating custom APIs that support our digital ecosystems. This role involves working closely with frontend and backend teams to develop scalable and robust API solutions, enabling seamless communication between systems. You will play a key role in extending and optimizing MagnoliaCMS's API capabilities, ensuring high performance and reliability across platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement custom APIs for Magnolia CMS to facilitate integration with other systems and platforms.
• Ensure that APIs are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance across different environments.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs into web and mobile interfaces, ensuring smooth data flow and functionality.
• Develop API documentation and provide guidance for developers and stakeholders on how to use the APIs effectively.
• Work on troubleshooting and debugging existing APIs, improving their functionality and performance.
• Implement best practices in API development, including RESTful architecture, security protocols, and efficient data handling.
• Ensure all API solutions are compliant with web standards and best practices for Headless CMS implementations.
• Optimize API performance by analyzing logs, performing load tests, and improving response times.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Magnolia CMS and its API development capabilities.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful API development, with experience in JSON, XML, and data exchange formats.
• Experience in Java and Spring Boot for building scalable backend services.
• Familiarity with Headless CMS architecture and the ability to integrate third-party services via APIs.
• Proficiency in API security standards, such as OAuth, JWT, and API gateway management.
• Experience working with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and optimize API performance.
• Strong collaboration skills, working closely with developers, content managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless API integration.
