How will you make an impact in this role?


A part of the American Express Consumer Product Team in India, the incumbent will be an integral member of the Product Management team, providing critical inputs in developing and marketing world class consumer payment products for the India consumer business.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, strategic thinker who thrives in a cross -functional 
environment and can leverage strong analytical skills and a customer-first mindset to uncover insights that drive growth for the business. 


Key Responsibilities


  • Take strategic decisions, address opportunities for card feature enhancements and help shape the overall product roadmap through analysis of customer performance and portfolio dynamics.
  • Develop product strategies, establish business plans & lead initiatives to grow the American Express Consumer Platinum Credit Card portfolio in India.
  • Monitor product performance and lead the design & development of effectively differentiated value propositions for both new and existing products under management to win in the target marketplace.
  • Granular monitoring of the Credit Card Product P&L, with clear ownership and execution of any business growth initiatives related to the Product P&L.
  • Drive engagement and loyalty through ownership of comprehensive marketing campaigns and the loyalty rewards platform including the end-to-end customer journey and providing strategic insights and ideas to improve the program based on data analytics.
  • Be at the driving seat of developing strong marketing contents for various communication assets including product marketing materials and ongoing Cardmember engagement materials.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Acquisitions, Marketing, Brand, Analytics, Risk, Finance, Operational Excellence, Technology.
  • Manage the overall marketing budget and to drive ongoing optimization and effective use of resources as well as assume the forecasting, and profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities.
  • Work closely with the new product team to launch new products and to enhance current products.
  • Utilize data analysis to make informed product decisions and strategies, including identifying trends, customer behaviors, and market opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications


  • At least 3+ years or higher experience, preferably within the product management function with P&L management responsibilities
  • MBA in Finance or Marketing

Preferred Qualifications


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions and turn it into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment in the financial services industry is a plus.
  • A strong team player who is flexible and maintains a positive attitude during changing work priorities.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques & other data visualization tools.
