Job Description:


Summary


Perform the required validations, parallel runs and work with the Payroll & final settlement Operations on the day-to-day payroll activities. The assigned tasks are to be completed within the stipulated timeline, co-ordinate with various payroll stakeholders and ensure all the required inputs are received on time. Should actively conduct independent validations, suggest process Improvements on the payroll activities performed on a daily basis and ensure all the SOX evidence are captured and saved in the shared folder for ready retrievals during the external audits.


Essential Job Functions


  • Perform the regular Payroll / final settlement process-related activities along with the fundamental validations
  • Ensure deductions are made as per statutory compliance
  • Ensure all the statutory payments are initiated before the due
  • Assists the department in completing and understanding of statutory changes made by the Government
  • Collaborate with payroll team members for smooth month-end closure
  • Handle the employee queries and provide apt resolution on time
  • Analyze and prepare various payroll audit report
  • Perform the independent internal audit on all the payroll activities completed daily
  • Complete the payroll audit activity as per the stipulated timeline
  • Audit samples should be collected based on the activity
  • Ensure audit evidences are saved in the shared folder
  • Validate the investment proof documents and conduct an audit on the same
  • Maintains integrity of accounting and budgeting software systems by checking for errors and inconsistencies.

Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Payroll transition, Payroll Operations, Accounting and Taxation matters
  • Good knowledge of ADP,  SAP - GHR and Workday
  • 3 to 5 years of Payroll and related accounting experience
  • Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
