Analyst I Infrastructure Service- Application Packaging

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Packaging Specialist to join our team at a leading IT Services organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, proven problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric approach to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

• Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Equivalent professional experience in the IT field will also be considered.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in application packaging and deployment.
  • Proficiency in using Flexera AdminStudio for repackaging legacy setups and customizing third-party vendor MSI packages.
  • Solid understanding of the Windows registry, file and folder security, local/domain user permissions, and general Windows operating systems.
• Virtualization and Deployment:
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, including Microsoft App-V (4.6/5.x), VMware Workstation, Hyper-V, and Microsoft Intune.
• Troubleshooting and Analysis:
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues.
  • Expertise with diagnostic tools such as Process Monitor, Process Explorer, Dependency Walker, and InstallRite.
• Programming and Scripting:
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as VBScript, HTML, Windows PowerShell, and Batch files.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting capabilities with a focus on delivering timely resolutions.
• A customer-focused mindset with the ability to understand and exceed client expectations.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration with local/global and cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Design, develop, and deploy application packages that meet organizational and client requirements.
• Customize and enhance third-party vendor MSI packages to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
• Implement security protocols related to file/folder access, user permissions, and registry configurations.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to analyze and resolve escalated application issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in application packaging and virtualization.
