Job Purpose/Background:
The Global Electronic Communications Surveillance (“GECS”) program includes the review of electronic communications that are identified via BlackRock’s electronic communications surveillance platform for further review based on firm-established flagging rules, as well as routine sampling. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Analyst in our Mumbai, India office. This position will partner with other internal departments such as Legal and Compliance, Human Resources, and Information Security and will interact with the various business groups of the individuals whose communications are subject to review.
The successful candidate will assist with managing the day-to-day surveillance process, including maintaining policies and procedures, and interacting with our third-party service provider for our surveillance software.
The successful candidate will be very detail oriented and inquisitive, have strong analytical & critical thinking skills and have the ability to bring issues to resolution.
Business Unit Overview:

Actively participating in business decisions to champion our clients’ interests and assist the business to translate Compliance into their daily work

Provide thought leadership on the impact and implementation of regulation
Developing and fostering excellence within the Compliance team
Key Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to review electronic communications channels, including email, Teams, and Bloomberg chat to identify any market manipulative/conduct related behavior
Investigating and reviewing daily alerts thoroughly in a timely manner and ensure significant issues are promptly escalated and tracked till closure
Review electronic communications, ensuring compliance with all internal policies and procedures and applicable industry regulations
Timely updates of procedure documents, trackers, and various process related documents
Participate in projects aimed at refining and enhancing the electronic communications surveillance program
Good communication skills to interact effectively with the global compliance team
Identify and implement process improvements within existing procedures
Work on related projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's /master’s degree in a related field with 2-4 Years of Financial Services industry experience
Previous experience in compliance, with a focus on electronic communications surveillance strongly preferred
Good knowledge of capital market is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while paying attention to detail
