Core Payments & Commercial Solutions and Small Business (SME) are priority areas for Mastercard. This role will focus on building analytics, financial reporting, data tracking, visualization, standardization and automation for both business units.
Role
• Create, update, enhance, and automate monthly and quarterly reporting packages (Monthly Business Reviews, Yield Analysis, Quarterly Business Reviews, Regional Execution and Pipeline meetings, etc.).
• Support month-end expense accruals and accounting entries by determining correct entries needed.
• Collect inputs and update corporate dashboards with monthly key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct headcount forecasting including planning for additions, exits, and accounting coding validations.
• Engage in ad-hoc reporting on financials or business metrics as needed.
• Support the development of the annual plan/budget and forecast for scheduled cycle. Also be responsible for ensuring accurate data upload into Hyperion budgeting and forecasting tool
• Manage, develop and update standardized financial reporting packages that will help drive and support the business, inclusive of business metrics/KPIs. Also identify and communicate revenue risks and opportunities and review and respond promptly to ad-hoc requests for information and analysis
• Support the development of presentations and analysis for quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and quarterly operating reviews (QORs), as well as ad hoc presentation
• Support Mastercard strategic plans by providing relevant financial analytics and business insights to key stakeholders, while developing robust tracking mechanisms
• Apply strategic understanding of business dynamics and competitive forces in different markets and supporting business to formulate mitigating strategies
• Execute on financial process improvements by building and maintaining financial tools to perform analysis and modelling; review and create suggestions to financial systems
• Investigate and create opportunities for automation and more efficient methods of creation and delivery anticipating needs of internal customers, members, and other stakeholders
• Support special projects as they arise.
All about you
• Educational qualification – Engineer or equivalent. Chartered Accountant or CPA or MBA Finance with strong tech experience. 2 to 4 yrs post qualification experience.
• Hands on experience of building dashboard on Power BI & Tableau, Alteryx with working knowledge of Alreayx, Python Sql etc. Candidates with prior experience of working on oracle or Hyperion would be preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating in a team environment.
• Advanced modelling and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative).
• Excellent project management, follow-up and organizational skills.
• Ability to work on several projects/workstreams simultaneously in a condensed time frame
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Intellectually curious and driven to find and share the story behind the numbers.
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and accuracy
