Job Description:
Overview-
A cloud engineer is responsible of leading the design, implementation, and management of scalable cloud infrastructure. This role involves working closely with development teams, IT departments and other stakeholders to ensure cloud environments are efficient, secure, and reliable.
Responsibilities-
• Design, implement and manage scalable and highly available cloud architectures.
• Design and develop cloud native automation solutions using Python.
• Automate security configurations and continuous compliance monitoring using tools like AWS config, Azure policies etc.
• Develop and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Implement security best practices for cloud environments.
• Monitor and manage cloud security using tools like AWS config, AWS IAM, AWS IAM Access analyzer.
• Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
• Monitor cloud resource usage and optimize the cost efficiency through AWS CUR reports.
• Provide insights and recommendations on ways to reduce cloud infrastructure costs without compromising performance.
• Work closely with development teams, architect, and other technical teams to support cloud-based solutions.
• Develop guardrails, security baselines, and governance models to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
Job Qualifications-
• 4-6 years of experience in Cloud Engineering domain with a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• Experience with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation for automating infrastructure deployments.
• Strong skills in Python for scripting, automation and developing cloud native applications.
• Strong experience of writing lambda functions and knowledge of event driven architecture.
• Understanding of cloud networking concepts such as VPCs, Security Groups etc.
• In depth understanding of identity and access management (IAM) and other security best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket.
• Experience with Ansible for automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management.
• Experience with resolving cloud-related incidents within SLA timelines.
• Knowledge of AWS Cost and usage reporting.
• Excellent debugging skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and varied assignments.
• Ability to quickly perform critical analysis and use creative approaches for solving complex problems.
• Preferred – Prior experience of working in Financial domain.
• Strong Academic background.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
