We seek an Amazon LEX Developer to join our team remotely.
The project involves designing, developing, and optimizing chatbots using Amazon Lex, leveraging Natural Language Understanding (NLU) to create intelligent conversation flows. It integrates AWS Lambda for backend logic and dynamic responses while utilizing various AWS services such as API Gateway, S3, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch for seamless operations.
Additionally, the project incorporates large language models (LLMs) through Amazon Bedrock to improve chatbot functionality efficiently. Developers work extensively with Python to build backend services, manage API interactions, handle data exchange using JSON, and ensure secure authentication.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build chatbots using Amazon Lex, creating intents, slots, and conversation flows for seamless user interactions.
• Develop and integrate AWS Lambda functions to handle dynamic responses and backend logic.
• Test chatbots using the AWS Lex console, identifying and resolving accuracy issues and edge cases.
• Utilize Amazon CloudWatch to monitor chatbot performance and implement improvements based on analytics and feedback.
• Connect and interact with large language models (LLMs) via APIs using Amazon Bedrock to enhance chatbot capabilities.
• Build and maintain backend services to interact with RESTful APIs (GET, POST, etc.) for data exchange and processing.
• Handle structured data in JSON format and ensure secure API authentication for seamless integration.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable Python code, optimizing performance using relevant libraries.
• Implement and manage AWS tools such as API Gateway, S3, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch for automation and operational efficiency.
• Continuously optimize chatbot performance, ensuring cost-effective, scalable, and high-quality conversational AI solutions.

• 4+ years of experience in designing and developing chatbot applications using Amazon Lex, including defining intents, slot types, and conversation flows.
• 4+ years of experience in implementing NLP models, understanding NLU concepts, and optimizing chatbot interactions for accuracy and efficiency.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch for building, deploying and monitoring chatbot solutions.
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and optimized Python code for chatbot logic, API interactions, and backend services, leveraging libraries like collection and long chain.
• Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs, handling JSON data, and managing API authentication (OAuth tokens, API keys) for external system interactions.
• Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock and other LLM APIs, including creating customized completion prompts for efficient and cost-effective chatbot enhancements.
• Strong understanding of Lex’s dialog management system, setting up structured conversation flows, and implementing fallback responses and error handling.
• Ability to conduct thorough chatbot testing using AWS Lex's built-in tools, handle edge cases, and continuously improve performance through monitoring and feedback analysis.
• Experience using CloudFormation scripts and automation tools to deploy, update, and optimize chatbot solutions efficiently.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex chatbot interactions, optimize system performance, and effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
