ALM Specialist

Job Description – Requirements Management & MBSE Tool Specialist; Job Location: Pune, India

A candidate with 3-7 years of work experience and he/she is a specialist who solves unique but definite problems. Works systematically: applies well known methods, techniques and tooling (knowledge of a field at bachelor level) to achieve concrete and known results (project wise). Offers professional arguments as the basis for making choices and for convincing the people concerned. Improvement of work processes calls for attention continuously. A proactive person who is eager to learn new tools, scripting to automate manual process and who understands consequences of own actions well and takes these into consideration to anticipate problems.

ICT Applications – ALM team consists of 9 highly skilled professionals with different nationalities, age group and expertise. ICT is abbreviated as Information Communication Technology. Within Applications group/team, we are responsible for all applications for different functionalities which are being used within Vanderlande. Applications used are the Atlassian Tool Suite (ALM), Rational DOORS, Enterprise Architect, Siemens Polarion ALM, Jfrog tools and other software development tools.

Because of growth in the number of users and requests from internal stakeholders, we are looking for an IT specialist who hold Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in computer science/technology to join the ALM team with previous work experience on tools regarding Requirements and Test management, MBSE (Model Based Software Embedded) tools, Configuration Management and Change and Problem Management (including automation).

Primary Responsibility

• Handling incoming questions / issues from the end-users on ALM Applications.
• Translate user questions / suggestions / issues into structural improvement requests / requirements
• Managing the user/access administration of the ALM Applications
• Automation of existing administration processes
• Supporting senior colleagues within the team on other topics
• Restoring the services/ applications during disruptions

Technical and Soft Skills

For the execution of these tasks, you need to have the following traits:

• Strong team-player
• Eager to learn new skills/applications and underlying infrastructure.
• Higher vocational degree/bachelor in a relevant field
• Strong communication skills in English both verbal and written.
• Experience with Requirements Management Tools like DOORS, DNG, JAMA etc.
• Expertise on Polarion ALM tools is a mandate.
• Linux OS server (good to have).
• Ability to provide a high-level overview on Requirement Management, Test Management, Design Management topics to provide a solution.
• Experience with MBSE and related tooling (Enterprise Architect, IBM Rhapsody etc.).

The tools that are expected to be managed are:

• Rational DOORS - (Mandatory to have previous work experience on any Requirements Management Tool).
• Open Text Quality Center (Mandatory to have previous work experience on any Requirements Management Tool).
• Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect (Good to have work experience on similar tools).
• Polarion ALM (Mandatory to have previous work experience)
• Learning to build a new monitoring tools responsible.

Optional tools knowledge:

• Atlassian Jira – (Mandatory to have previous work experience on any Problem Management/ Change Management Tool)
• Atlassian Bitbucket
• Atlassian Bamboo
• Atlassian Confluence
• JFrog Artifactory
• Octopus Deploy.
