Job DescriptionPurpose of the role
To develop scrum principles and sprint goals aligned to industry best practices, and the banks objectives, to foster a high-performing technology team and support the successful progression on scrum projects.
Accountabilities
- Management and fostering of a high performing engineering team, by providing high quality technical guidance and support to resolve complex challenges aligned to the banks technology practices, industry best practice and the banks business objectives.
- Identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance the technology development process in an efficient and effect manner.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and innovations, actively contributing to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence and growth.
- Collaboration with business stakeholders, developers and other technology teams to ensure technology initiatives align with business objectives, security policies and regulatory requirements.

You will need a deep understanding of Agile practices, and the challenges faced by Financial Services companies in adopting these methods. you will use your excellent coaching skills to embed an Agile mindset at all levels of the organization, sharing their expertise to improve the Agile maturity of teams and enhance delivery efficiency. Additionally, you will integrate Human-Centred Design (HCD) practices within Agile methodologies to improve product development and service delivery. This involves fostering an environment where empathy for users is paramount and solutions are tailored to address real-world challenges. You will play a crucial role in stakeholder management, building effective relationships and promoting collaborative communication. The team facilitates decision-making processes and supports transformation projects by incorporating stakeholder input.
To be successful as an Agile Coach - VP, you should have experience with:
- Accredited Agile practitioner
- Self-starter who can work independently as well as strong collaboration with the wider team
- Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of working in an Agile transformation environment
- Proficiency in facilitating workshops that incorporate HCD tools such as empathy mapping, user journey mapping, and service blueprinting.
- Skilled in translating user feedback into actionable insights that can be prioritized in Agile backlogs.
