Job Description

Role and Key Responsibilities:


  • Consistently meets or exceeds sales quota and metrics related to outbound calls, open pipeline opportunities, and closed won revenue set by segment management.
  • Actively creating new sales opportunities for products and associated services and solutions for selected customers in the assigned territory via telephone and email, responsible for E2E portfolio revenue/shipment/margin for these accounts
  • Analyses client industry and competitive research and information to facilitate rich client dialogue and identify emerging market trends and opportunities.
  • Build customer confidence in remote sales capabilities, Interfaces with highly diverse set of functions and buyers at all levels within customer organization - including highest levels of Executive. Drives opportunities from qualification to close.
  • Demonstrates strong presentation and communication skills at the business manager level.
  • Demonstrates breadth and depth of knowledge to position and map capabilities that align to client business objectives and initiatives.
  • High level of negotiation skills at the business manager and IT executive level.
  • Pro-active coverage for customers in assigned territory to expand client Share of Wallet by generating incremental business.
  • Develop End Customer knowledge, capture customer contacts in DYNAMICS/CRM and customer profiling. Aggressively reviews account activities in pursuit of new business or up-selling opportunities.
  • Understands the client procurement processes and knows key decision criteria for winning new and / or maintaining existing business.
  • Pipeline management & forecast for own set of accounts. Nurtures and closes new opportunities that result in substantial incremental orders, revenue/shipment, and margins, representing the entire portfolio of products, services, and solutions.
  • Project management skills in directing or coordinating selling sales support activities on complex sales.
  • Receive inbound calls from assigned customers (to close opportunities) or personnel (Sales specialists, local Field Sales, Local Sales END USER Manager, Presales).
  • Collaboration with Sales Management to drive, demand generation, sales initiatives for incremental revenue/shipment and margin. Orchestrates the resources and sponsorship essential for executing business effectively.
  • Drives integrated planning and coordinated sales execution.
  • Leverage EDM capability when available to contact customer and drive Sales.
  • Execute campaign follow-up and lead management.
  • Follow processes with back-office sales support for quotations, configurations, OPG, sales comp calculation, delivery, order management requirements, exceptions.
  • Engage office-based, field Sales, Global Account Manager, Specialist, and presales as appropriate.
  • Significant input towards development of quota objectives and future direction within territory, area, and/or accounts.
  • Partner organization intelligence aligned with partner management skills
  • Ensure funnel management creation and updates on the systems (DYNAMICS/CRM) are always accurate and up to date for assigned accounts
  • Close and frequent engagement with partner to drive opportunity closure. Ensure maximum commitment by partner to win project (target closure maximum closing time for partner is 12 weeks).
  • As dictated by the selling model, engages partners effectively to improve win rates on selective deals.
  • Portfolio selling on VAM led opportunities, Up- and Cross-Selling on partner led opportunities when relevant.
  • Close collaboration with partner on the customer or opportunity when relevant.
  • Deal closure verification based on partner P.O. visibility.

Key Skills and knowledge:


  • Bachelor’s degree (or above) or corresponding work experience in sales.
  • Absolute willingness to compete and win.
  • Grad 1 yrs. sales exp
  • Tech Grad 2yrs sales Exp
  • Tech Grad 3yrs IT sales Exp
  • Demonstrated ability to Create and close business 2years of combined IT or selling experience – preferred- in a  IT industry. Multiple years over quota performance with progressively more difficult assignments.
  • Strong customer communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude towards customers and partners.
  • Ability to manage time and (potentially competing) priorities based on customer and quota focused objectives.
  • Good understanding of fundamental IT concepts and solutions.
  • Knowledge of multi-product/service and solutions, complex sales, typically sells integrated solutions.
  • Expert in discipline offerings; technical ability to develop a total sales engagement.
  • Team player, ability to collaborate effectively in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Viewed as an expert in company; sought out by other sales reps and/or managers for input.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter attitude.
  • Ability to handle unique situations and think outside the box.
  • Ability to train, coach and lead other Inside Sales Reps., both Outbound and Inbound
  • Problem detection and solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work extra hours and travel occasionally.

Educational qualification: Graduate
