We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Associate to join our finance team. BSP has significant AUM and anticipates continuous formation of new fund vehicles. With anticipated aggressive growth, it will be the goal of the associate to contribute to the increased demands with an emphasis on the quality and professionalism of the work product. The associate is responsible for performing a detailed review of invoices and other department related activities, serve as a subject matter expert for Accounts Payable process, assist with ad hoc assignments and small projects to support Financial Operations and Corporate Accounting. The successful candidate will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager.
Perform a timely submission & review of invoices for compliance with policy and procedures.
Respond to inquiries on invoice processing questions
Provide support for entry, coding, approval routing of invoices, and other activities as deemed necessary.
Work with supervisor to identify, assess and recommend process improvements.
Complete monthly review activities to ensure invoices are processed timely, accurately and completely.
Work with supervisor to identify, assess and recommend process improvements.
Track open liability, assist with Error resolution.
Interaction with internal & External Vendors to resolve issues, if any.
Complete monthly activities as per MOC.
Assist with ad hoc work assignments and projects to support Financial Operations and Corporate Accounting.
Commerce graduate or equivalent work experience in Accounts Payables.
Knowledge of business desktop applications (i.e.: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Project, Windows, Visio, etc.) required.
2-3 years of experience in Accounts payables domain with Shared Service Center background.
Should have working experience on ERP (Coupa, Workday - AP Modules)
An ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with people contacted while performing assigned duties including company management.
Ability to operate effectively in a deadline-sensitive and customer-service oriented environment.
Ability to sit for long hours and if required put in extra hours
Strong attention to details and organizational skills.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
