Snowflake is looking for an experienced Analyst to be an integral part of the Accounts Payable supporting USA and LATAM regions. This position will be based in Pune, India. You are versatile, motivated, creative, intellectually curious, analytical collaborator and a strong communicator.


Reporting into the Accounts Payable Manager, your main responsibility is to ensure smooth delivery of the day-to-day operations of the department. You will provide ideas and help brainstorm on process standardization, automation, and improvement in all aspects of Accounts Payable to ensure their scalability and continuing effectiveness amid all the changes that Snowflake has been undergoing. You are good at creating and maintaining robust process documentation. You adhere to the internal controls as specified by Company policies. RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Accounts Payable knowledge and well-versed experience with invoice processing and Payment inquiries of Americas, LATAM, EUROPE, EMEA regions
  • Oversee and ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoice; Primarily USA & LATAM Regions
  • Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
  • Review and analyse invoice volume, aging, follow-up on-hold, exception documents and processing trends to drive process improvements
  • Support and contribution to month-end, quarter-end close activities (including but not limited to) such as, AP sub-ledger close, Accrual, Reconciliation
  • Research and resolve escalated Vendor and internal inquiries
  • Ensure process documentation for all processes namely Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs & BOPs) are reviewed and updated at regular intervals
  • Actively participate in training new team members and documentations
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws (e.g., sales tax, VAT, WHT) and corporate tax reporting requirements
  • Communicate effectively to promote favourable partnerships with internal and external customers
  • Identify areas of process inefficiency and suggest improvements to optimize AP operations
  • Coordinate with other teams for cross-functional projects, such as system migrations or process implementations
  • Support the integration of AP processes for mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
  • Collaborate with IT teams for system enhancements and resolve any system issues affecting AP
  • Provide the required support for external, internal and SOX audits, process walkthroughs and workflows as and when required (primarily during quarter and year end audits)
  • Work with cross functional teams to identify problems and process gaps and propose reasonable and creative solutions to improve processes including opportunities for automating manual processes or activities within a process
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and tasks as requested

REQUIREMENTS


  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant and progressive P2P AP experience
  • Problem Solving: Ability to analyze issues and recommend/implement solutions
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Workday or another large-scale ERP required
  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite (e.g. Google Sheets)
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to identify and prioritize issues and be accountable for resolution
  • Ability to identify process improvements and present to management
  • Ability to work independently and a strong team player and meet tight deadlines
  • Good command on English speaking and writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Adapts quickly to changes in a dynamic organizational structure and business processes
  • Highest moral standards and safekeeping of confidential information
  • Flexible with work hours
