ROLE OVERVIEW
We seek a highly skilled Academic Program Growth and Advocacy Lead for India and APJ to join our Global Academia Program team. This role requires a seasoned professional with a track record of establishing and scaling academic programs, in India and APJ, for the fast pace software or technology sector. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, proactive, and detail-oriented, capable of strategic thinking and flawless execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Academic program strategy, growth, and execution in India and APJ
Develop and Execute Academic Program Strategy: Create and implement a robust framework for expanding Snowflake’s academic programs in India and APJ to achieve annual targets as set by leadership
Launch Regional Innovative Initiatives: Create new initiatives where appropriate and necessarily to engage students and academia in these regions.
Collaborate with Global Teams: Align with the global Academic Program team to streamline resources, content, and processes for efficient scaling across India and APJ.
Integrate Efforts with Broader Initiatives: Collaborate and leverage opportunities to align regional academic efforts with Snowflake’s broader Education Services programs.
Promote and Market the Program: Partner with regional marketing teams to craft success stories, press releases, and events that enhance Snowflake’s visibility among students and universities.
Measure and Optimize Impact: Design processes for tracking and analyzing program outreach and impact, using data to refine strategies and meet shifting business goals.
Cultivate Academic Partnership and Integration with Universities at India and APJ
Develop Strategic Partnerships: Form and strengthen relationships with higher education institutions and other educational initiatives like ICT Academy, expanding Snowflake’s presence within the academic sphere.
Foster Relationships and Connections: Build rapport with educators to amplify Snowflake’s reach among students and encourage referrals.
Increase Snowflake AI mindshare & adoption with webinars and workshops: Organize and conduct virtual events including webinars and workshops to increase mindshare and drive Snowflake AI adoptions in classroom at universities in India and APJ
Undertake Outreach Campaigns: Drive regional awareness and contact universities and educators to communicate the program offerings
IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
Program Experience: At least 10 years in the tech sector in India, with 7+ years building and growing academic programs in India and APJ, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
Technical Experience: Basic proficiency with technology and software in data analytics and platform stack.
Track Record: Demonstrated success and proven ability in initiating and scaling academic initiatives in India and APJ, collaborating with educational institutions and government bodies.
Educational Engagement: Proven ability in directly engaging students and educators, conducting introductory technical presentations and workshops.
Communication & Marketing: Strong verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to engage stakeholders and create compelling go-to-market materials including social media blogs and campaigns to engage with the academic community.
Project Management: Proficiency in project management tools and LMS administration.
Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business and minor in technical field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with Snowflake or similar data platforms.
Passion: A commitment to empowering and educating students and faculty.
Certifications: Minor degree in a technical field; PMP certification.
