Responsibilities:
- You will be required to work with product management and other cross functional teams to develop detailed software functional specification, articulate system/software architecture specifications, for product features, to meet product requirements.
- SW development in the areas of platform infrastructure, device drivers, kernel, chassis control, device management, link and interface management.
- You will be required to carry out detailed design and implementation, unit testing, integration of platform software, related device/kernel drivers and other related software components for products and features.
- Work closely with system and solution test teams to ensure correct and complete verification of software and components, for the feature to meet real-life network deployments.
- You will be required to work closely with Juniper Technical Assistance Team, for providing engineering assistance in supporting critical customer escalations for customer deployments.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of B.E or BTech from a reputed institution in CS/EE with 3+ years of experience is required.
Job Requirement:
- Proficiency with device management, system bringup, FreeBSD/Linux internals;
- Knowledge of Network synchronization protocols or Interface/optics handling and their implementation is a plus.
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
- Strong in C/C++ programming, data structures, algorithms.
- Proficiency in software development with Linux/FreeBSD or similar UNIX systems.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or similar discipline.
- A clear understanding of the product development cycle, technical requirements with a strong understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices.
- Candidate must have a strong record delivering software projects on-time and with high quality
- Candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills, be highly self-motivated, and have the ability to work in a team environment.
