MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The Wind Finance Director is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company’s wind energy projects, driving strategic financial planning, and ensuring profitability. The director manages financial performance analysis, identifies risks and opportunities, and develops strategies aligned with the company’s goals in the renewable energy sector. This role requires a strong understanding of the financial dynamics within the wind energy industry, making the director a critical player in guiding the company toward sustainable and long-term success.
KEY MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Strategic Financial Planning: Analyze the financial performance and risks associated with wind energy projects and develop strategies to enhance profitability.
• Financial Monitoring: Maintain constant oversight of the company’s financial position, proactively addressing potential challenges.
• System Management: Set up and oversee financial IT systems tailored for wind energy projects, ensuring efficient financial management.
• Team Leadership: Supervise all accounting and finance personnel, including management accountants and internal auditors, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Audit and Control: Oversee internal and external audits and ensure adherence to regulatory controls within the renewable energy sector.
• Corporate Fundraising: Develop and implement the corporate fundraising strategy, managing relationships with investors and partners in the renewable energy industry.
• Reporting: Prepare comprehensive quarterly and annual financial reports, focusing on the financial health and growth of the wind energy projects.
• Forecasting and Analysis: Conduct detailed financial forecasts and present insights to upper management, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant financial laws and regulations, specifically in the energy sector.
