The Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS) / Corporate, commercial and Public Sector (CCPS) Sales Head is responsible for the ultimate direction and delivery of TTS solutions and services in the country. The TTS/CCPS Head assumes the leadership of the country TTS and sales teams, ensuring that all aspects of TTS activities generate optimal returns and drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction. These activities should be managed within the highest standards of risk management and governance. Managing operational risk and related controls is a critical part of the role
The TTS/CCPS Head owns the primary business and revenue growth goals in Egypt and leads Business Development and Wallet share growth in the corporate, public sector and financial institutions segments for the TTS solutions.
Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and external partners. Has responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within areas of expertise.
Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, etc.
Core Responsibilities:
- Clearly articulate & drive the TTS/CCPS strategy & agenda with franchise stakeholders & clients
- Development of the local TTS franchise in direct alignment with TTS’ global strategic priorities, market trends, regulations, and customer needs
- Drive sales performance locally across TTS Sales & Coverage teams and step in as an escalation point if required to deliver optimal solutions to clients
- Ensure pipeline management discipline & execution against defined Sales KPI’s
- Support RFP & implementation activities where required & oversee timely revenue ramp up of new business
- Provide local competitive analysis, market intelligence/expertise & network sensitivity to identify emerging opportunities or threat
- Embed customer segmentation, product positioning, pricing, and marketing plans for each client segment through strategic framework lens
- Oversee TTS training & ongoing TTS updates across local Coverage & Franchise partners. Act as the local senior contact for TTS opportunities
- Lead TTS client experience agenda across the country ensuring visibility & engagement on all key client issues & escalations
- Lead regulatory driven product development for the country in close cooperation with the cluster, region & global partners
- Develop the inorganic growth strategy through partnerships, alliances, and strategic product development to capture a greater share of wallet. Develop a network and payment distribution strategy, considering new and evolving channels
- Ensure a strong risk and control culture within the country TTS/CCPS team
- Oversee and directly engage in, as appropriate, key risk & control activities such as regulatory interaction, internal or external audits/reviews, Continuity of Business, Regulatory Change Management etc
- Accountability for ensuring all stakeholder & client communication plans are developed & executed early & comprehensively
- Lead TTS regulatory advocacy agenda in country. Maintain strong & transparent relationship with regulators, ensuring effective two-way communication & cooperation, aligning fully with internal partners
- Crisis management leadership
- Achieve targets set for revenues, expenses, EBIT, balance sheet, headcount, as well as appropriate ratios such as efficiency ratios, Return on Assets, Return on Tangible Common Equity
Qualifications:
- Prior work experience in Citi or other financial services experience in the areas described above
- Relevant experience in the field of transaction banking or relationship management
- Experience & Ability to work with broad group of stakeholders including Relationship / Coverage, Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Offshore Citi colleagues etc
- Excellent communication skills, ability to steer discussions and make presentations, sales pitches etc
- High enthusiasm, resilience, energy levels and collaborative approach
- Ability to quickly understand cash and trade product propositions, business drivers, policies, customer needs, market and competition dynamics
- Selling, Interpersonal and Communication skills for effective, quicker and superior presentations, pitches and conversions
- Demonstrate thought leadership. Ability to create longer term, content, trust and advisory based relationships with customers and partners
- Analytical skills - to evaluate various alternative solutions to customer needs.
- Proven people management skills. Demonstrate very strong abilities to motivate and develop staff
Education:
- Bachelor or Masters (preferred) Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, and Maths etc. (other areas of specialization will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
- English and Arabic proficiency is mandatory, multilingual
