Role Objectives
As a Technical Office Engineer you will support the Technical Office Lead in ensuring that projects run smoothly and efficiently. You will play a crucial role in both administrative and technical tasks, contributing to the successful delivery of construction projects, and to assist in the preparation, coordination, and management of technical documentation and administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines while facilitating effective communication among all stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain reports on project activities and achievements, including snag lists, samples approval reports, and completion reports.
- Attend all site meetings to clarify priorities and ensure workflow aligns with project timelines.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Technical Office Lead.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and tender documents for projects.
- Review contractors’ shop drawings, providing feedback and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with various trades (civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to resolve conflicts and ensure alignment with architectural drawings.
- Assist in preparing architectural and MEP shop drawings for specific projects.
- Organize and maintain project documentation, ensuring the digital database is up to date; assist in scheduling phone calls, meetings, and site visits.
- Participate in identifying and reporting unexpected technical difficulties, collaborating with the Technical Office Manager for resolution.
- Review as-built drawings at the project’s conclusion to ensure accuracy.
- Assess time frames and review variation order documents as necessary.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
Bachelor in Engineering -Architecture
Experience not less than three years in Retail projects
Fluent in Arabic and English.
Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and applications.
Professional knowledge of AutoCAD and Photoshop.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant software.
