Determine and minimize the company's worldwide tax liability with the highest integrity while complying with worldwide tax laws. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage tax compliance with all Indirect Tax, including Sales, VAT and withholding taxes for entities in scope, including policy interpretation, planning and audit management. Facilitate team understanding of VAT and withholding tax to enable effective knowledge sharing and application among colleagues. Leverage technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. Utilize the technical expertise and judgement to solve VAT and withholding problems. Lead and enhance Indirect tax projects, processes, and procedures. Communicate with direct colleagues and business team about new processes and manage services rendered from tax consultants. Provide guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations to overcome daily operational challenges. Build knowledge of VAT laws, rulings, guides, and interpretation notes as relevant to countries in scope. Manage interactions and relationship with tax authorities. Deliver withholding and VAT reporting, ensure VAT compliance, implement processes and identifies sustainable planning opportunities to help in mitigating VAT risks, meet compliance obligations and statutory deadlines in accordance with business priorities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting /Finance from an accredited university or college. Significant years of experience in Finance /Accounting & TAX in corporates. Knowledge of best tax audit practices and how tax area integrates with other functions. Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Desired Characteristics
Prior experience in Big 4 audit firms is a plus. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to examine and resolve problems.
