Job Requirements:
Familiarity with the following: -
Egyptian accounting standards. Laws in force in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Audit requirements and evidence. Tax laws in force in Egypt and the amendments thereto (income tax - withholding taxes - salary tax - stamp tax - value added tax - symbiotic contribution property taxes - electronic invoice - unified tax procedures) Labor law, social insurance law and minimum wage Role of other departments.
Job Description:
- Developing plans for dividing work between accountants in the company's tax department.
- Directing and evaluating the work team in its management.
- Participating in preparing an adequate and appropriate accounting manual for the nature of the activity and updating it according to the variables of the activity and the nature of the required information.
- Supervising the review process of all documents received by the financial department, which represent a procedure of the documentary cycle procedures, before preparing the daily entries.
- Reviewing the monthly paid labor income tax according to the monthly payrolls and approving it, then submitting it to the head of the CFO for approval.
- Preparing the monthly value-added tax declaration after deducting the tax paid on purchases and any settlements and calculating the tax required to be deposited, if any.
- Preparing the deduction and collection form under the tax account quarterly according to the requirements of the law, as well as payments to suppliers outside Egypt.
- Preparing the stamp tax declaration and depositing it
- Participating with the Human Resources Department in calculating the labor income tax and notifying them of any amendments thereto.
- Calculating and depositing the company's real estate taxes and appealing them if necessary.
- Participating with the audit office and tax consultant in preparing the annual income tax declaration and depositing it to the Tax Authority on the specified date to avoid any late fees.
- Preparing for the tax audit.
- Completing the tax audit procedures, attending the appeal committees, and submitting any inquiries to the Tax Research Department.
- Guiding the General Accounts Department in the best way to record expenses in a way that does not expose the company to tax liability.
- Providing the Purchasing Department with the tax treatment of the purchase items and services agreed upon with suppliers.
- Issuing certificates of the volume of transactions to suppliers as well as tax deduction certificates for them.
- Supervising the entry in the legal books in accordance with the requirements of the law.
- Contacting the General Accounts Manager to record the necessary tax entries for the monthly and annual closing.
- Participating with the Head of the CFO in preparing a study of the tax provision that shows the real value of the company's financial position.
- Participating with the CFO in preparing the company's planning budget.
- Contacting, coordinating and dealing with the tax advisor, auditor and examining officer of the Tax Research Department.
- Participating with the CFO in developing the financial regulations and work system in the Financial Department.
- Completing the procedures for closing or liquidating subsidiaries.
- Issuing and renewing the company's tax card and proving the financial position on it.
- Notifying the management of the tax impact resulting from some transactions and directing it to the optimal solution for tax savings to follow.
- Providing management with tax amendments and their impact on the company.
- Expressing tax opinion when needed in economic feasibility studies for some projects.
- In general, commitment to implementing management policies and instructions of the CFO and the board of directors.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor of Commerce - Accounting Department. Experience in tax management for a period of not less than 10 years. Proficiency in Arabic and English languages compatible with the nature of the work. Skill in using computers (Microsoft Office + ERP System SAP) Familiarity with all Egyptian tax laws, their executive regulations and complementary explanatory instructions. Sufficient knowledge to prepare the required tax returns for all types of taxes accurately and on time. Familiarity with tax inspection procedures and tax appeals.* Experience in dealing with tax officers and tax consultants.
