Systems Engineer
Job Description
Specialized in Network Management Systems (NMS) is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure and its associated management tools. This role ensures optimal network performance, security, and reliability, supporting the organization's IT and operational goals.
Personal Skills
Strong experience with NMS tools like Site24x7, Cacti, ELK, or Zabbix.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
Hands-on experience in network performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
Ability to analyze network reports and provide actionable insights.
Familiarity with APIs and integration of network management systems.
Excellent command of English.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to manage long-term relationships with partners and negotiate agreements
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Technical Skills
•Manage and maintain Linux and Windows servers.
•Perform system administration tasks, including user account management, software installation, updates, and troubleshooting.
•Manage and maintain network monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Cacti, ELK, Zabbix).
•Manage and maintain Proxmox Virtual Environment.
•Implement and maintain system security measures.
•Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
•Stay up-to-date with the latest networking and system administration technologies.
•Install, configure, and maintain NMS tools (e.g., Site24x7 Pollers, Cacti, ELK, Zabbix).
•Perform NMS tools API integration to enable seamless data sharing and reporting.
•Monitor network performance metrics such as bandwidth utilization, latency, and packet loss.
•Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to NMS tools to ensure uninterrupted operations.
•Generate and analyze detailed network performance reports to aid decision-making.
•Automation and Scripting: Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline and optimize network-related tasks.
•Utilize scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell to automate routine operations.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
