Job Description:
NOK human Capital is hiring a "Supply chain manager" for one of the biggest Oil & gas companies in Egypt.
Located in New Cairo
The
Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain process, from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products to customers. The role involves coordinating activities across procurement, production, logistics, inventory management, and distribution to ensure the efficient flow of goods and services. The goal is to optimize the supply chain to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement supply chain strategies to align with business objectives and improve overall operational efficiency.
Forecast demand, plan resources, and develop supply chain models to optimize inventory, production, and distribution.
Monitor and evaluate industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to refine supply chain strategies.
Source raw materials, components, or finished goods from suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring reliable deliveries.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring consistent quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.
Manage vendor performance, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
Oversee inventory levels to ensure the availability of products while minimizing excess stock or shortages.
Implement inventory management systems and processes to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment processes, ensuring they are efficient and cost-effective.
Coordinate the transportation and distribution of products, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to customers or retail locations.
Develop relationships with logistics providers, ensuring services meet required standards of quality and cost.
Optimize transportation routes and delivery schedules to reduce lead times and logistics costs.
Work closely with the production team to align manufacturing schedules with supply chain demands.
Ensure that the production process runs smoothly and that products are delivered on time without compromising quality.
Monitor production output, adjusting supply chain activities to accommodate changes in production rates or delays.
Experience and Education:
A bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is typically required. A masters degree in business or logistics is preferred.
Typically, 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, or related roles is expected.
Certification in supply chain management, such as
CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or
CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), is often preferred.

Cost Efficiency: Reduction in supply chain costs while maintaining or improving service levels.
On-Time Delivery: Ensuring products are delivered to customers and retail locations on time.
Inventory Turnover: Managing inventory levels effectively, reducing stockouts, and minimizing excess inventory.
Supplier Performance: Maintaining high supplier performance metrics (e.g., quality, delivery time, cost competitiveness).
Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring that the supply chain supports customer demands and satisfaction levels.
