Overview he Customs and Trade support Manager – Rest of World will lead and manage the Rest of World team for Snacks, Beverages, and Concentrate businesses to support the company’s requirements of raw materials, samples, promotional items, finished goods, packaging material, CAPEX, spare parts, flavor hearts, finished flavors. The leader will enable the correct performance and declaration of all import/export operations across the Sector. The leader will enable a correct and effective customs & trade compliance management, requesting and supervising SOP’s for scheduled audits across the sector that will minimize administrative, monetary and operative risks that could result from interactions with government institutions. The role will interact with various PepsiCo functions such as marketing, procurement, planning, commercial, engineering, manufacturing and R&D assuring that all documents and requirements are met for all import and export operations across the sector. The manager will lead interactions with the Americas Support manager, resulting in the identification of best practices to replicate and align across global operations. In order to achieve these goals, the role will have interactions with customs brokers, transportation and freight forwarder suppliers, government authorities, ocean procurement management, CB Procurement manager, ocean excellence lead, Global excellence and continuous improvement lead, as well as the Global trade and compliance sr. Manager. Responsibilities Lead an integrated global cross-functional Customs & Trade organization to deliver cost transformation, net revenue growth, service excellence, and PEP+ benefits for PEP Develop the region’s strategy, vision and roadmap for Customs & Trade that deliver a capable and reliable capability across all countries in the region. Lead standardization, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing to unlock Customs & Trade optimization and decision making across sectors Contribute to a 4% YOY productivity from Import-Export (Customs, Duties, Assessorial charges) through cost transformation delivering ~$65 MM to PEP 2023-2025 and develop detailed plans for additional years 2026+ . Guarantee operational continuity for the region, through insuring compliant documentation for all international shipments in order to obtain the best delivery and transportation time, guaranteeing the best costs and lowest risks. Create baseline of free trade agreements, special programs, free trade zones and special duty regimes that are currently being used Create a baseline of existing incoterms being used and create incoterm-based strategies for operational benefits and possible productivity working alongside the ocean procurement team Analyze new duty optimization opportunities that leverage the team’s productivity targets such as free trade agreements or special import/export programs Support the team’s automation initiatives in collaboration with the global excellence and continuous improvement teams Lead team in delivering baseline of existing incoterms, free trade agreements, special import export programmes, free trade zones and import export duty regimes. Create yearly strategies for the customs and trade team including operational forecasting, planning and working together with the ocean procurement manager for volume forecasting and planning. Lead standardization, continuous improvement, and knowledge management to unlock overall I/E and Customs & Trade optimization and decision making across sectors Support automation initiatives that result in productivity and time for the team Build and strengthen relationships across sectors to assure smooth import export operation of goods Leverage and replicate good practices across sectors Create and control SOP’s for the various C&T Sectors insuring service levels across sectors for internal customers Provide consistent and reliable data and analysis for commercialization, sector teams, and various leadership for I/E cost analysis and strategic decisions where needed (Make vs Buy, Sourcing, etc..) Analyze all import/export operations across globe in order to identify possible C&T optimization opportunities and related compliance impacts seeking to reduce risks, compliance issues, and governmental audits. Lead various continuous improvement projects and support I/E teams with data, coaching, obstacle removal as they work to resolve issues or capture opportunity Evaluate near and long-term data and technology enablement strategy for customs & trade by working closely with sectors and IT functions and implement it across the global landscape Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or applicable degree 10-12 years operations, transportation, Customs & trade experience (Required) Ability to positively influence teams outside of direct responsibility and across multiple business units Capable of working in a remote work group Utilize technical/functional knowledge that creates opportunities and solves business problems Ability to drive large transformational change agenda to include people, process, technology transformation Ability to identify business issues and escalate in a timely fashion Self-starter with attention to detail and experience leading multiple teams Ability to work collaboratively and proactively across multi-functional, sector, and business teams Ability to lead in a matrix organization - Proven leadership ability to influence others and drive results without direct reporting relationship Excellent written and oral communication skills; proactively communicates using appropriate methods for situation and audience in clear, concise and professional manner English Fluency both written and verbal required; Exceptional communication skills across global businesses (additional languages a plus) Strong track record to manage multiple competing cross-functional priorities Experience as a program lead or owner – developing a strategy and deploying it across a business or function Experience developing and deploying large, complex best practices or projects Experience with IT platforms and tools including design, configuration, development and implementation Proficient with Process Improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma Belt and/or Agile certification) Proven project Leadership: Project management and team approach to deliver large scale change initiatives Experience directly leading cross-functional competencies, people, and teams Strong track record of developing capabilities and scaling sustained operations resulting in long-term growth Strong track record in formulating innovative solutions and driving change Ability to navigate through ambiguity and adapt quickly to a changing environment Strong team player passionate about collaborating, coordinating, and committed to teamwork in all situations
