Software Engineer (Backend)

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Web Team. If you’re a creative problem solver who is hungry for a new adventure and ready to disrupt the fintech and consumer finance market then our team is waiting for you in the heart of Cairo!

• Designing and developing production grade backend APIs using Django (python)
• Conduct rigorous software testing, debugging and code reviews
• Meeting both technical and consumer needs

• BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical discipline

  
  
  
• Experience in algorithm design and implementation 
• Experience in database design and SQL 
• Experience in working with source code control systems (Git) 
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Experience in Django framework and python as a programming language
• Experience in using Postgresql
• Experience with writing modular and reusable code
• Experience with Vue js and JavaScript testing is a plus
• Good knowledge of Linux/Unix 
• Experience in Linux Shell scripting 
• Experience in Elasticsearch and/or Solr
• Experience in web crawling, text mining, or search engine development 
• Experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins 
• Knowledge in OS virtualization and container engines such as Docker
