Job Description:

You as a Senior Quality Control Specialist will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Ramadan City, El-Sharkia, Egypt. You will be supporting the definition and implementation of actions to improve safety, operating efficiency, quality and productivity in the value chain, to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment with the local business.

Your responsibilities:

• Collaborating in the management of quality assurance, developing a management system fully compliant with local legislation and any applicable regulations and codes of practice, modelled around the requirements of ISO9001:2015 'Quality Management Systems' and the underlying philosophy to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Applying quality system based on ISO 9001 standard and participate in internal and external audits.
• Managing the non-conformance process for effective resolution and process improvement, the formal review and approval, of all participating parties with regards to quality assurance and quality control.
• Monitoring, controlling the performance of the supplier’s performance and perform the required assessments.
• Leading problem-solving tools with the suppliers to ensure efficient execution and good KPIs.
• Participating on monitoring non-conformities with external in-house suppliers with factory team. Challenge the metrics and performance of the factory to ensure the best performance.
• Promoting and develop quality culture (internal / supplier) and deploy quality fundamentals.
• Implementing quality documentation such as PFMEA, control plan
• Monitoring supplier performance and assists in critical situation resolution. Participates in the assessment of new suppliers and periodically evaluates supplier performance. Tests and validates new components / goods prototypes by performing special tests. Tracks supplier test certificates.
• Utilizes safety systems to perform work, resulting in an accident-free workplace. Notifies others when unsafe situations are observed and works with local safety teams to improve the safety systems.
• Ensures that all necessary quality records such as inspection and test documents are maintained properly.
• Trains local teams in the standard quality improvement approach to develop organization capability to continuously improve business practices and performance.

Your background            

• A bachelor’s degree in in Mechanical / Electrical Power Engineering.
• 5 to 7 years’ experience as Senior Quality Engineer.
• Knowledge of quality fundamentals.
• Certified internal auditor IOS 9001.
• Lean six sigma green/black.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong Leadership.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written in English language is required.
